On roll call <br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Supplemental Agreements with State of Nebraska and Hall County for Project <br />RS-2080(1) Wood River Southwest was presented. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to approve sU;1plemental agreement <br />and authorize chairman to sign. On roll call vote Abernethy, Fralen, Hartman, <br />Leslie, Quandt, Wight and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board Assistant stated County Board Committee to meet with County Attorney <br />and City Attorney at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 21 on the traffic ~ases. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />(1) State of Nebraska Department of ~oads notice the proposed work on Project <br />BRO-7040 (17) bid letting is set for November 5, 1992 until 10:00 a.m. at the <br />State offices. <br /> <br />(2) Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce in regard to corcerns of reduced highway <br />funding within District #4 of Nebraska Department )f Roads and enclos(d a <br />sa~p1e resolution regarding their concerns and enc~urage Hall County to <br />pass a similar resolution and iJrward to Governor Ben Nelson. <br /> <br />(3) Earl D. Ahlschwede, Attorney in regard to Keno operation in, bfha1f of <br />his client Rod Huebner, owner and operator of the HUB Lounge, (,rand Island. <br /> <br />Motion by ,~bernethy, seconded by Hartman to accept and place on fiJe the comm- <br />unications received today. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartlnan, <br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman, Building & Grounds Committee met on the tuckpointing survey and have <br />requested additional information. <br /> <br />Frauen, Election Com~ittee, will need to meet at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November <br />3rd for early pickup of ballots for election commissioner. He has Health <br />Board meeting ~omJrrow night. <br /> <br />Abernethy, asked board members to read.about the Keno Commi ttee and Election <br />Committee meetings; She attended the EPC program meeting at 1-80 Holiday <br />Inn last week with Landis and Leslie also attending. She attended a workshop <br />on planning meeting to form a group to be known as Parents Anonymous and also <br />attend a meeting this morning on senior Citizens. <br /> <br />Leslie asked for Building & Grounds committee to consider not moving the pole <br />(due to costs) but make 2 driveways at the north entry of Administration <br />Building parking lot. <br /> <br />Quandt, Midland Area on Aging Agency meeting. <br />tlright also asked board members to be sure and rea{ the Keno Committee minutes. <br /> <br />iartman questioned what progress County Assessor has made about buildings on <br />Jrdnance Plant land being placed on tax rolls. Chairman will request County <br />~ssessor be placed on next week's agenda for report. <br /> <br />liscussion on claims audited today. <br /> <br />10tion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to hold payment of claim for meals that <br />!as submitted on Road fund until next week, so can visit with Hostler about <br />he claim. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, <br />rright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
