22. BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT— Board Assistant Stacy Ruzicka stated she did not have <br /> a report. <br /> 23. FACILITIES AGENDA <br /> (A) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER#3—Mr. Humphrey stated <br /> that when they installed piping in the tunnel it took more room because of the insulation so they <br /> had to extend the bulkhead and had to reroute some of the pipes at one end further into the <br /> tunnel area and had to build a small bulkhead, so there were additional costs. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Purdy seconded to approve RFP#3 change order for$2,506.00. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> B) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER #4—This is to reduce the <br /> electrical by $1,004.00 because the motor starters are part of the variable speed drives that are <br /> provided. The motors are already installed. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to approve RFP #4 change order and reduce it <br /> by $1,004.00. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> C) PROJECT UPDATES — Mrs. Humphrey reported that the HVAC project at the health & <br /> human services building has been completed and is up and running and doing well. <br /> Phase#2 at the County Office Building for the two restrooms is going well. They are installing <br /> tile on the floor and the walls. The partitions for the restrooms are in route and should be <br /> completed next week. The walls in the juvenile diversion are up and they are to start painting on <br /> Thursday. This project is going well. <br /> Quandt questioned if there was an issue with the deputies that are working would it be a work <br /> comp claim. Stacey Ruzicka stated that work comp is always the primary source. <br /> Lanfear stated that there was an issue last Thursday and Loran has been monitoring the air <br /> quality in the courthouse and so far it has all come back clean. He stated that they set up six <br /> pumps in the courthouse and nothing showed up. They crane was brought back to lift <br /> equipment to the roof there was some delay because of the rain. They have started on the duct <br /> work and once that is done they will bring in the units. They will have to be broke down to get <br /> them in the hatch. The floor has been installed and there has not been a lot of disruption. <br /> There is some plaster that will need to be repaired. <br /> Lancaster asked if the air monitoring was in place before this issue and Mr. Humphrey stated <br /> that it was put in place last week. He stated that the courthouse was built in 1904 so there <br /> wasn't asbestos at that time the only asbestos that is there is would have been brought in later. <br /> They are using every precaution that they can. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS —Chairman Arnold called for new or unfinished business <br /> and no one responded. Dale Baker thanked Stacey for helping with checking the names on the <br /> petitions. <br /> 6 <br />
