Richardson made a motion and Quandt seconded to go into executive session. Arnold stated <br /> that there are two reasons for an executive session to protect the public interest or to prevent <br /> needless harm or injury to and individual. These executive sessions are to prevent needles <br /> harm or injury to an individual. County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf requested to be included in the <br /> second executive session and the board approved. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10. EXECUTIVE SESSION-PERFORMANCES EVALUATION <br /> 10:59 executive session regarding the performance evaluation <br /> 11:01 a.m. finished the executive session regarding the performance evaluation <br /> 11. EXECUTIVE SESSION-PERSONNEL <br /> 11:01 a.m. held executive session regarding personnel <br /> 11:07 a.m. finished the executive session regarding personnel <br /> 9 9p <br /> 11:08 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Arnold stated that no other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action was <br /> taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17 APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS —the Board members <br /> received the board preapproval report. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the biweekly pay claims and the <br /> regular claims. <br /> Quandt questioned if the claim for the jail investigation was paid and Mr. Zitterkopf stated that <br /> he made one payment in July and just received another statement for August that will be paid. <br /> The vote on the motion to approve the claims was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 21. COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS — Purdy reminded the board members of <br /> the NIRMA conference that will be held in Kearney on October 8 and 9 if anyone is interested in <br /> attending. He stated that you can register on line and pick the courses that you want to attend. <br /> Schuppan reported that the action on the conditional use permit was postponed for two weeks <br /> pP P p p p <br /> at the request of the Crane Trust and the Vontz's. <br /> Quandt thanked Pam and Dan for their work on the jail administrator process. Lancaster stated <br /> they are still looking for additional information. Schuppan expressed concern when someone <br /> comes from out of state there may be problems and you do not know that. <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf stated that on his resume he has experience as an executive recruiter and in that <br /> capacity they look for people and then for companies to match them too. You may not know <br /> much about them. <br /> 5 <br />
