<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to set Public Hearing on liquor
<br />~, license for September 22, 1992 at 10:30 A.M. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Proclamation for Treatment Works Month in Hall County was read.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to approve and authorize chairman to sign
<br />proclamation for "Treatment Works 1 MQJtt)1" in Hall ~ounty for Sep~ember 1992.
<br />On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, (Hartman,! Leslle, Quandt, Wrlght and
<br />Landis voted yes, none voted no. MotTOn carried.

<br />Jan Pelland, County Assessor presented some valuations to compare for County
<br />Weed/Extension office building on Stolley Park Road to help establish a value
<br />on the building.
<br />Supervisor Wright to work with.Weed Control Superintendent Schwartzkopf

<br />30, October 1 and 2 at Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln Nebraska

<br />(4) Copy of Letter to Editor of Grand Island Daily Independent from Mary
<br />Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, Nebraska regarding an article in
<br />August 26th edition regarding the county expenses with EPC program.
<br />
<br />(5) Honeywell Inc, in regard to federal requirements for ozone depletion,
<br />global warming and hazardous waste enacted with Clean Air Act of 1990
<br />This requirement is over and above contracted service, effective July 1,
<br />1992 forced to add a surcharge when this recovery equipment is used on
<br />Hall County building's air conditioning equipment~

<br />Hartman attended Open House for Weed COA~rol offices, approximately 75 to
<br />80 people. Also received call from a 'man ion sale of the old weed building.
<br />Hartman presented petition of approximately 146 signatures to petition for the
<br />hard-surfacing of Webb Road north of Highway 281 to l-R School. He stated
<br />some peoE.l~J:l.ad ca,lLed_ and wished their names to be removed from the petition.

<br />Abernethy attended meeting in Kearney last Thursday on alcohol problems. She
<br />also attended the Weed Control office open house and she went with the Keno
<br />Committee to Scottsbluff to visit their facility.
<br />
<br />Leslie attended NIRMA insurance meeting in Lincoln last week.
<br />
<br />Quandt reported Family Violence Coalition has hired two people who are in
<br />training now for sessions they will be conducting later.
<br />
<br />Wright reported he attended the Open House for Weed Control offices. He' reported
<br />on the Keno Committee trip to Scottsbluff to tour their facility. They are
<br />waiting now for some written information from Scottsbluff and the committee
<br />will keep the board members informed. He expressed high appreciation for the
<br />Scottsbluff County Board Members for Ol.li--r visit there.
<br />
<br />Jack Mills, NACO Executive Director stopped by the meeting to visit about the
<br />budget limitation act. Special Session of Legislature has been set for
<br />September 21st and County Board Members need to visit and discuss with their
<br />State Senator about their concerns and the limit on property taxes.

<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant reported (1) IBM, notice of increase of
<br />costs, (2) Howard Maxon Communications Director had scheduled representative
<br />from US West for 1:30 P.M. Tuesday September 8th at Board meeting and also
