<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 AM. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of August 18th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by Quandt,
<br />seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright,
<br />and Landis voted yes, none voted no, Abernethy abstained.
<br />
<br />Approximately 25 people were present in support of library bookmobile.
<br />Two teachers from School District #16 spoke. They have 27 students and
<br />have 1/3 of student body here today. One student John presented letters from
<br />students and spoke briefly. One teacher stated they were representing
<br />students and teachers from School Districts #5, #24 & #16 who were unable to be
<br />present today.
<br />Also present were Steve Fosselman Librarian, Jean Saathoff Assistant Libra-
<br />rian and two bookmobile employees Mel and Jackie. Mr. Fosselman presented
<br />written information on the estimating costs of bookmobile operations for
<br />April thru June 1992 and a comparison of budgeted vs spent amounts in County
<br />Miscellaneous general fund.
<br />Veterans Home Librarian was present and expressed appreciation for the
<br />bookmobile services and had written letter to Board members also. County
<br />Supervisors stated their views and concerns in regard to the bookmobile.
<br />After 30 minutes of discussion the Board of Supervisors proceeded on to other
<br />items listed on today's agenda.
<br />
<br />Jack Niemoth, Member of Hall County Weed Board issued an invitation to County
<br />Board members to attend the Open House,Wednesday August 26th from 9 to 5 at
<br />new Weed Office Building on West Second Street.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and Deputy Attorney Mark Young were
<br />present for several items listed on today's agenda.
<br />Janulewicz presented a written offer from Central Plains Appraiser Service
<br />for 2 sheriff's department vehicles damaged in recent accidents. He recom-
<br />mended accepted the settlement.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to authorize accepting the settlement
<br />pending approval from GAB on insurance. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes,none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Janulewicz presented a resolution declaring 3 Sheriff's department vehicles
<br />as surplus praoperty and authorize solicitating sealed bids for sale of these
<br />vehicles.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to adopt Resolution #1418 as presented
<br />for sale of three cars and bids to be received in County Clerk's Office until
<br />5:00 P.M. on September 14th and to open bids at 1:30 PM. on September 15th
<br />at County Board meeting. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie,
<br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
