Cj:<f-~~ 1 ~ Hall County Sheriff Emmett Arnett was present. He stated Highway Safety funds ~are available to purchase radar sets for Sheriff's Department use, at $750.00 per set. He has budgeted for 2 sets and requested County Board to authorize Chairperson to sign letter requesting 4 radar sets. ~ Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to approve and authorize chairperson to co-sign the letter with Sheriff Arnett to request 4 radar sets from the Nebraska Highway Safety fund. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Discussion on contract with Villages for Law enforcement. Sheriff Arnett recommends continuing with current contracts with AIda, Doniphan and Cairo but the amount of money was up to County Board. Current contract calls for 20 hours patrol per week in each Village, at cost of $1200.00 per month. Supervisor Hartman recommended the cost remain the same as current contract. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to continue services to villages and contract remain the same at $1200.00 per month On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. . Resolution was presented to authorize cancelling warrants outstanding for two or more years in Warrant Register in County Clerk's office. 'Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1398 as presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. RESOLUTION # /.39'7 Whereas the warrant register in the office of the County Clerk discloses that warrants against Hall County has not been paid and'cancelled and said warrants are two or more years old and have not come to the County Treasurer for payment. A search has been made in the County Treasurer's offi~e for determination if same has been paid, and the search has disclosed that the warrants in question has not been paid. Due to the length of time these warrants has been outstanding, it appears that same have been lost or destroyed and should not be carried as out- standing warrants on the warrant register in Hall County Clerk's office.
