He stated that this was an illegal motion. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 10:00 a.m. recessed the Board of Equalization meeting for the public hearing for the 1 & 6 Road <br /> Program <br /> 10.10:00 A.M. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE— PUBLIC HEARING 1 &6 ROAD PROGRAM — <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to open the public hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Chairman Arnold recessed the public hearing to set up the lap top. <br /> 7. CONSIDERATION AND ACTION ON AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF HALL & THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND FOR REROUTING <br /> COMMERCIAL TRUCK TRAFFIC FROM CERTAIN CITY STREETS TO CERTAIN COUNTY <br /> ROADS - Casey Sherlock and John Collins were present this had been discussed some years <br /> back and Mr. Zitterkopf prepared the Interlocal agreement. Casey stated that they will contact <br /> the Nebraska Department of Roads regarding the signage. Mr. Collins stated that he is in <br /> support of the passage of the agreement. The city currently has prohibited truck routes in the <br /> city of Grand Island. They are also doing traffic studies. <br /> This is an Interlocal agreement but there are no dollar amounts. Discussion was held on the <br /> turn radius and the city will improve the turn radius and will budget for the improvements and the <br /> maintenance. <br /> Lancaster stated that this is a life safety issue and will relieve a lot of concern. <br /> Quandt stated he would also like signage on prohibiting the engine brakes. <br /> 2 <br />
