• <br /> 5 <br /> Purdy stated that he had pictures that he took at West Point Nebraska on the truck washout and <br /> he also talked to Chad Ruda. <br /> Quandt stated that the membership dues that we pay Region III will be going up and that will <br /> affect the county. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT Stacey Ruzicka thanked the board members for meeting this <br /> morning to review the equipment improvement transfers the requests are due this Friday and <br /> there may be more calls. <br /> She reminded the board members about the NACO Convention in December and that the room <br /> reservations are to be booked by June 4, 2015 she asked the board members to let her know if <br /> 20 FACILITIES AGENDA— <br /> DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING LOCATIONS & MOVING OFFICES OF <br /> JUVENILE PROBATION, JUVENILE DIVERSION & PASSPORT <br /> Mr. Humphrey was present and stated that the painting is done and they should be ready to <br /> move the week of June 15th. He will be on vacation and he wants to get them moved before he <br /> leaves. <br /> The passport office will need to be moved but nothing has been decided. There was discussion <br /> to move GIS downstairs in the Administration Building and then the GIS office could be space <br /> for the passport office. There was discussion that Dan Douglas and Dale Baker could share <br /> some of the space. He is letting them discuss the issue. The Clerk of the Distinct Court agreed <br /> that the Administration Building would be a better location for the passport office. They want to <br /> keep the construction moving forward and need to make some plans. Nothing has been <br /> decided at this time. <br /> Mr. Schuppan stated that Casey has some records at the road department that need to be <br /> stored in a vault and this would be a good location for them. <br /> Mr. Quandt expressed concern about the money that was spent to remodel that office and now <br /> they're moving a small number of staff in there. Mr. Humphrey stated that this is just discussion <br /> and no decision has been made. <br /> Lancaster stated that the current GIS space would be enough room for the passport office. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the election office only needs the space during election time. <br /> Lancaster stated that it is important to make sure that the construction continues. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that he is in the process of drawing up some plans and hopes to start the <br /> construction in July and have them moved at the end of July, but no decision have been made. <br /> Schuppan stated that it would give GIS some space for a big table and the records would also <br /> be in a vault area. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for a motion to move the passport office to the GIS location and discuss <br /> the location of the GIS office. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Purdy seconded to move the passport office to the GIS current <br /> office. Arnold, Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Lanfear was absent. Motion carried. <br />
