RESOLUTION #15- a�t <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE OFFICE OF PART-TIME <br /> COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSIONER FOR THE TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING <br /> JANUARY 1, 2016. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors is required by law to set and establish <br /> salaries for the office of county election commissioner at least 60 days prior to the expiration of the <br /> term of office of the election commissioner holding office. <br /> NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the employment terms and conditions for the part-time <br /> county election commissioner be hereby set as follows: <br /> 1. The annual salary for the office of election commissioner is established at $36,129.60 <br /> for calendar year 2016, at$36,852.19 for calendar year 2017,at$37,589.23 for calendar year 2018 <br /> and at $38,341.01 for calendar year 2019. <br /> 2. The election commissioner shall be regularly scheduled to work 20 hours per week, <br /> and such additional hours as may from time to time be necessary to fulfill the duties of the office. <br /> The office of the election commissioner shall remain open during noon hour for the 7 weeks <br /> immediately preceding a primary or general election, and may otherwise be closed during noon <br /> hour. <br /> 3. The election commissioner shall be subject to the personnel policies and procedures as <br /> set forth in the Hall County Employee Handbook except to the extent that those personnel policies <br /> and procedures are inconsistent with the terms of this resolution, in which event the terms of this <br /> resolution will control. <br /> 4. Hours worked by the election commissioner in excess of 20 hours per week may be <br /> accumulated up to an annual maximum of 80 hours. Hours so accumulated shall be used as <br /> time-off at the discretion of the part-time election commissioner within 6 months of the time they <br /> are accumulated, and shall not be subject to conversion to cash payment. At the conclusion of <br /> every second pay period, the election commissioner shall submit to the County Clerk and the <br /> Chairman of the Board of Supervisors copies of a calendar upon which the election commissioner <br /> has recorded, for each day,the number of hours worked,the number of vacation leave hours taken, <br /> the number of sick leave hours taken, the number of hours in excess of 20 per week accumulated <br /> and the number of accumulated hours used. <br /> 5. During the aforesaid term of office the election commissioner shall not be eligible to <br /> receive health, medical and dental benefits pursuant to the terms and conditions of the County's <br /> Employee Health Benefit Plan. <br /> 6. The above salary shall be on a paid bi-weekly basis or on such other periodic basis as <br /> established by the Board of Supervisors. <br />
