RESOLUTION #15 - af) A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE HALL COUNTY ZONING RESOLUTION SECTION 4.07 AG-SI SPECIAL AGRICULTURAL/INDUSTRIAL ZONE. WHEREAS, it has been the intent of the Hall County Board of Supervisors to provide for the orderly growth and development of the County; and WHEREAS, in the furtherance of that intent, on April 20, 2004, the Hall County Board of Supervisors did pass and adopt a comprehensive zoning plan by passage of the Hall County Zoning Resolution #04-0020, with an effective date of June 1, 2004; and WHEREAS, Freight Car Rail Services L.L.C, has requested changes to the Hall County Zoning Regulations; and WHEREAS, on April 1st, 2015 the Hall County Regional Planning Commission considered said changes following a public hearing at its regular meeting and recommended approval; and WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors wishes to enhance employment opportunities in Hall County and protect rail corridors for future improvements, expansion and use; and WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors of Hall County held a public hearing and considered said proposed changes on May 5th, 2015 upon publication of notice of the same in the Grand Island Independent, a legal newspaper in the county. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, upon review of the proposed changes and consideration of the recommendations of the Regional Planning Commission, and the evidence, testimony, and comments received,the Board finds that the attached changes are consistent with the intent of the Hall County Comprehensive Plan and will serve the County and its residents by allow for the continued use of existing rail corridors and the protection of those corridors for future uses and improvements and that such changes are hereby approved and will become effective on June 1, 2015.
