Lancaster questioned if the minutes from the public works committee addressed the Interlocal <br /> agreement and Mr. Schuppan stated this had been addressed some time ago. <br /> Quandt questioned if there should be a motion to open bids this had always been done in the <br /> past. Mr. Zitterkopf stated that a motion would be proper to proceed with business items. He <br /> did not think it was an issue on the previous bid opening. <br /> The vote on the motion to approve the consent agenda items was taken. Arnold. Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Quandt, Purdy, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> OFFICE REPORT <br /> HALL COUNTY SHERIFF <br /> FEBRUARY 2015 <br /> TOTAL FEES MILEAGE & MISC $ 18,402.14 <br /> COPIES $ 182.00 <br /> HANDGUN APPLICATIONS $ 110.00 <br /> TITLE INSPECTIONS $ 2,750.00 <br /> 9:10 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:22 a.m. adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION —Greg Cramer Mayor of Wood River wanted to clarify why he <br /> requested to address all agenda item, because at the last meeting he was not allowed to speak. <br /> Mr. Arnold stated that the board could take a vote on the request. <br /> He stated he wants to address the issue of a county building inspector. The budget will be <br /> addressed soon and they need to work out some details regarding a building inspector. Mr. <br /> Schuppan stated that the committee has met and he was going to talk to some of the city <br /> councils and village boards regarding the issue. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one else responded. <br /> 12. DISCUSSION REGARDING REPLY FROM GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION ON <br /> DISPOSITION OF FEDERAL BUILDING - Lancaster stated a letter was received regarding the <br /> disposition of the Federal Building it will be sold but there is no time frame. The county has <br /> purchased the Plaza Building and the space issues are not a crisis at this time but it may be <br /> wise to let them know if the county is still interested. As stated before there are certain <br /> circumstances that will be considered if the historical issues are preserved. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to request a briefing regarding the federal <br /> building and let them know that the county has an interest in the building. <br /> Arnold. Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Purdy, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9:30 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 9:57 a.m. Returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 2 <br />
