He addressed an <br /> issue regarding plastic and other debris in their fields along Husker Highway from Highway#30 <br /> to the landfill. He provided a copy of a letter signed by the property owners. Discussion was <br /> held on the fact that there is a $500.00 dollar fine if the trash is not covered. Mr. Quandt stated <br /> he needs to work with the city. <br /> Lancaster thanked him for the information and the county needs to be aware of the issue. She <br /> suggested that he also contact the city regarding this. Discussion was held that Mr. Arnett used <br /> to have inmate trustees that would do projects like this but there may not be the manpower <br /> anymore. <br /> COUNTY ATTORNEY— No items <br /> 8. DISCUSS &APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR PERFORMANCE OF DESIGNATED COUNTY <br /> EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES — Lancaster stated that there has been an agreement with the <br /> Wood River School District for doing the county spelling bee and the agreement needed to be <br /> updated. The terms have been changed so that it will roll over from year to year and the school <br /> is in charge. They hire retired teachers to do the spelling bee. The agreement was reviewed by <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the agreement with Wood River <br /> School District. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted <br /> 2 <br />
