INTRODUCTION OF CONNIE HULTINE— DISTRICT#8 CHIEF PROBATION OFFICER— <br /> Chairman Arnold introduced Connie Hultine the recently appointed Chief Probation Officer for <br /> District#8. Mr. Hultine was the drug court coordinator and she stated that the new coordinator <br /> will start on Friday. <br /> 11.10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE HALL COUNTY BUDGET TO INCREASE <br /> FUNDS IN THE SICKNACATION FUND - Lancaster made a motion and Richardson seconded <br /> to open the public hearing to amend the county budget. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka stated that the sick vacation fund is used to pay out vacation <br /> and sick leave when an employee separates employment with the county. He has to have been <br /> employed for 5 years and would receive any unused vacation and if over the age of 55 they <br /> would receive half of the accrued sick leave balance. Over the past 5 years the fund has not <br /> paid out over$53,000.00 2013 was $15,449.80 and 2014 was $24,521.90 and the current <br /> budget is $65,000.00. The current expenditures are at $55.667.71 so the fund will be depleted. <br /> The audit committee met and is recommending transferring $65,000.00 from Miscellaneous <br /> General 2-9900 to the sick vacation fund. Once the public hearing is held the board will need to <br /> approve the resolutions and the claim to make the transfer. <br /> Chainman Arnold called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 12 DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION AMENDING THE HALL COUNTY BUDGET- <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan second to approve Resolution #15-004 amending the <br /> Hall county budget to increase the sick vacation fund by $65,000.00. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 4 <br />
