There <br /> currently is only one employee left so she will have to hire someone. The range will go down <br /> but she would keep the employee on the same step and the anniversary is next month. <br /> She will not have deputy position so she created a records clerk supervisor job description and <br /> looked at comps across the county. After discussion the committee felt that range 14 would be <br /> acceptable. Discussion was held on the salary and she is currently making $19.68 an hour and <br /> in order to not cut her salary it was discussed to place her on step 10. She was also at 40 hours <br /> a week and now will be at 37.5 hours. Ms. Pelland is asking the board to approve the <br /> recommendation of the classification committee. Mr. Arnold stated that the step was discussed <br /> by the committee and she has retained the responsibilities. <br /> Purdy made a motion and Schuppan seconded to set the office clerk job description on range 5 <br /> and records clerk supervisor positon on range 14. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 25 .APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS —The board members <br /> received the board preapproval report. Mr. Quandt stated he would abstain on the claim from <br /> Mid Nebraska Restaurant. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the bi weekly pay claims and all of <br /> the regular claims except the claim from Mid Nebraska Restaurant. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Purdy, Quandt Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Schuppan second to approve the claim from Mid Nebraska <br /> Restaurant. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Quandt abstained. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS - Ms. Lancaster stated that Senior Citizens <br /> received a donation from the Reynold's Foundation and she thanked them. She stated that <br /> Midland Area Agency on Aging is working on the health insurance and have some concerns on <br /> the policy it is similar but not as good and has a higher deductible. <br /> Ms. Richardson stated that she attended the Stuhr museum and there was discussion on the <br /> new construction and she met the director. They are working on the enrollment for the summer <br /> classes. She appreciates being on the committee. <br /> Mr. Quandt stated the conditional use committee met regarding property northwest of town that <br /> wanted to apply grit and the request was denied. He also expressed concern on the building <br /> inspections and the fact that the county does not have a building inspector. He would like to <br /> see a committee set up to address this issue. Mr. Arnold stated that he will look at this. <br /> Lancaster also agreed that the board may need to revisit this issue. <br /> Mr. Arnold asked if Ms. Lancaster could serve on the GIAMPO board and she stated that this <br /> would be a conflict of interest because she serves on Senior Citizens. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for other reports and no one responded. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT— Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka stated she did not have a <br /> 8 <br />
