9:05 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9:30 a.m. Returned to regular session <br /> 9:30 a.m. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 9:54 a.m. returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Matt McGuire requested to address the county board. He thanked <br /> the board regarding their work for the Veteran's Home and the trip to Washington. He <br /> expressed concern on the fire inspections for buildings in the city. He stated that he thinks <br /> Highway#30 should be widened. He asked if there has been a hospital study in the event there <br /> was a bad storm. <br /> 6.PUBLIC WORKS - 10:00 AM — BID OPENING FOR BRIDGE PROJECT C40 (133) ON 80TH <br /> ROAD BETWEEN HIGHWAY 2 AND ABBOTT ROAD —Quandt made a motion and Arnold <br /> seconded to open the bids for the bridge project. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. Mr. Sherlock stated he will come back today with a recommendation. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy <br /> was absent. Motion carried. <br /> Chairman McFarland called for a 5 minute recess. <br /> Returned to regular session. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Mr. Quandt stated that when he was on the courthouse challenge <br /> there was drone floating around the building. They showed pictures that were taken by the <br /> drone and explained how they build the drone and how you can put a camera on it to take <br /> pictures, he stated that this drone can file up to 2000 feet in the air; it has GPS and can hold a <br /> position. The cost for this type of unit was about $2000.00. They have rules that they follow <br /> and he is a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. <br /> 2 <br />
