Mr. McFarland asked if the local energy companies offer incentives for other <br /> energy but there are some safety issues. <br /> Chairman McFarland called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to close the public hearing. . <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Nabity stated that the resolution will be prepared for the next meeting. <br /> 10. PERSONNEL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION -APPROVE THE JOB DESCRIPTIONS <br /> FOR ALL APPOINTED OFFICIALS - Lancaster stated that the job description for the board <br /> assistant needed to be updated and questioned if the other appointed officials job descriptions <br /> should be reviewed because the board is responsible for these positions. The corrections <br /> director is current but she questioned the weed superintendent description. The facilities <br /> director added ADA and zoning duties. The veterans service officer and election commissioner <br /> descriptions were also updated. Mr. Ziola questioned if the minimum requirements for the <br /> positions and the levels of education should be addressed. Discussion was held. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Ziola seconded to refer this to the personnel committee and <br /> come back with a recommendation in 2 weeks. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 12. EXECUTIVE SESSION PERFORMANCE EVALUATION -Quandt made a motion and Ziola <br /> seconded to go into executive session regarding personnel. This executive session to prevent <br /> needless harm or injury to an individual. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:38 a.m. executive session <br /> 1:40 a.m. Lancaster made a motion and Ziola seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed, no votes were taken and no action was taken. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Lancaster seconded to refer the evaluation to the personnel <br /> committee and to the employee. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS - Ms. Lancaster stated she appreciated the <br /> notice regarding the parking lot repairs that were sent out by building & grounds. <br /> Mr. Purdy stated that he will be attending the NIRMA conference on October 9 and 10; this is <br /> the 3 year renewal commitment. <br /> Mr. Quandt tanked Mr. Shuda for the hero flight they asked Adrian Smith about the status and <br /> did not receive any answers.
