Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve Resolution #14-058 <br /> Supporting the request to the Nebraska Department of Roads Board of Public Roads <br /> classifications & Standards for the relaxation of standards for design loading for the <br /> bridge on Wiseman Road north of US Highway 30 Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Quandt asked Mr. Sherlock about the truck by pass and if there had been any <br /> action and Mr. Sherlock stated there had not been since 2006. Mr. Sherlock stated that <br /> the County Board could send a letter to the City or take it to the MPO board. Discussion <br /> was held on the asphalt approaches on the bridges. <br /> Chairman McFarland recessed the meeting to have public works go over the bids <br /> information. <br /> Returned to session. Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept the <br /> low bid from Mid Nebraska Aggregate on Projects A, B, C, and D and accept all three <br /> pit prices. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 6. 10:30 A.M. BID OPENING FOR DEMOLITION OF 2ND FLOOR COURTHOUSE <br /> ANNEX — Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to open the bid for the demolition <br /> of the 2nd floor courthouse. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 24-5 DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION TO INSTALL A SOUND PROOF DOOR <br /> CONNECTING COUNTY JURY DELIBERATION ROOM TO MENTAL HEALTH <br /> HEARING ROOM - Sheriff Watson was present and stated that on the second floor of <br /> the court house the mental health board meetings are held two time a week. They bring <br /> individuals that are in protective custody through the rotunda and into the office. From a <br /> public safety standpoint they are proposing to install a door that would go directly into <br /> the mental health board meeting room. <br /> 6 <br />
