4) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PURCHASING DESK & CREDENZA <br /> FROM JUDGE LIVINGSTON - Judge Livingston has hand crafted office furniture made of <br /> Mozambique hardwood from Africa. He is asking $850 for the set the furniture is in excellent <br /> condition the exact age of the set was not available for the Board's information. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the purchase of the office furniture <br /> as presented. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO INCLUDE THE ROOF REPLACEMENT OF THE <br /> COURTHOUSE WITH THE HVAC RENOVATION <br /> Loren Humphrey recommended that the county delay the replacement and coincide the roof <br /> replacement with the HVAC renovation. Gary recommended to complete as a separate project <br /> from the renovation but to run them simultaneous with each other. No action was taken at this <br /> time. <br /> 6) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING <br /> COURTHOUSE WINDOW RENOVATION OR REPLACEMENT <br /> Loren Humphrey informed the Board that there is definite need to replace the outside storm <br /> windows. There are different options for renovation or replacement of the windows. Lancaster <br /> asked did we get someone to assess the use of windows in the courthouse. Spencer Works <br /> (John Spencer) informed Loren that there is a lot to consider regarding the renovation of the <br /> windows. Dan noted that Saline County removed the old windows and replaced with all new <br /> windows. No action will be taken at this time. <br /> COUNTY BUDGET <br /> Brad Fegley explained the levy difference proposed for the Hall County budget for 2014 2015 <br /> Budget year. This includes the changes that the board made. This will need to be advertised. <br /> 7. DISCUSS AND APPROVE 1%ADDITIONAL ALLOWABLE INCREASE—Arnold made a <br /> motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the additional allowable 1%. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION OF ADOPTION AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br /> HALL COUNTY BUDGET—Ziola made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the <br /> resolution of adoption for the Hall County Budget. All of the board members will need to sign <br /> this. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and Quandt voted <br /> no. Motion carried. <br /> DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION SETTING PROPERTY TAX REQUEST FOR HALL <br /> COUNTY—Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve Resolution #14-054 <br /> Setting the Property Tax Request for Hall County. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9 <br />
