Motion carried. <br /> APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR <br /> THE PROVISION OF INMATE HEALTH SERVICES-ADVANCED CORRECTIONAL <br /> HEALTHCARE —This is an amendment to the current agreement related to the average daily <br /> population. This will add $37,000.00 to the current agreement. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to authorize the chair to sign the agreement <br /> with Advanced Correctional Healthcare. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 11.C)APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br /> NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES AND HALL COUNTY FOR <br /> HOLDING STATE INMATES this is the agreement with the State to hold inmates. The daily <br /> rate is $88.00 they will have to pay all medical and dental and hospital care for the state inmates <br /> and if there is a problem with an inmate they will be sent back to Lincoln. The inmates are to be <br /> released from the Nebraska Department of Corrections. Mr. Ruiz stated that the attorneys have <br /> looked it over and it is agreeable to everyone. <br /> Lancaster thanked Mr. Ruiz for bringing this to Hall County it is a good opportunity. Hall County <br /> built a facility that will serve us for a long time and we agreed that if there was unused space it <br /> would be rented out. It will be a financial benefit for all. <br /> Mr. Ruiz stated that this would have not been possible if we had not progressed from where we <br /> were in 2006. We have the right setting and the right facility. Both parties want to make this <br /> work. <br /> Mr. McFarland 9 <br /> rland asked if we could go over 80 to 100 beds and Mr Ruiz stated we can dictate how <br /> many beds they can use. <br /> Mr. Quandt questioned if this was approved how soon it would start Mr. Ruiz stated real quick. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve and authorize the chair to sign the <br /> agreement with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Mr. Ruiz informed the County Board that the inmates are here and waiting. <br /> 13.EXECUTIVE SESSION - UNION NEGOTIATIONS—Ziola made a motion and Arnold <br /> seconded to go into executive session for union negotiations this executive session is to protect <br /> the public interest. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
