HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 20, 2014 <br /> The Hall County Board of Supervisors convened May 20, 2014 by published call in the County <br /> Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> CALL TO ORDER -The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bob McFarland. <br /> INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Scott Arnold. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE —The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were, Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Bob McFarland, Dan <br /> Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. <br /> DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION <br /> Elected and Appointed Officials present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf, County <br /> Clerk Marla Conley, County Treasurer Peg Pesek, and Fred Ruiz Corrections Director. Steve <br /> Riehle, County Engineer, Loren Humphrey Facilities/ADA coordinator and Board Assistant <br /> Stacey Ruzicka. Corrections Department employees Holly Plejdru , Jimmy Vann, Jaden <br /> Rojewski were also present. <br /> Four members of the news media were present. . <br /> There were also 5 others present that were not listed for a total of 26. <br /> The gender make up was 11 women and15 males. <br /> The ethnic background of those in attendance was 25 White, 1 Asian <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW—Chairman Bob McFarland read the notice of open <br /> meeting law. <br /> REQUEST TO RESERVE TIME--Chairman McFarland stated that if anyone from the audience <br /> has a request to reserve time to speak on a specific agenda item, to please come forward at this <br /> time. No one responded. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA— Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the following <br /> by consent agenda: <br /> 1. Placed on file the minutes of the May 6 meeting <br /> 2. 6. Approved hiring Jerry Janulewicz as legal counsel for FOP Lodge 10 contract <br /> negotiations <br /> 3. 8a Accepted the recommendation from regional planning for the conservation easement <br /> in Section 29, Township 9, Range 12 <br /> 4. 8b Approved Resolution#14-026 For the conservation easement for Nature <br /> Conservancy in Section 2, Township 9 Range 12 <br /> 5. 8c Approved Resolution#14-027 To vacate the plat for Horizons Subdivision except for <br /> the dedicated right-of-way <br /> 6. 8d Approved the final plat and Resolution #14-028 For Horizons Second Subdivision <br /> 7. 11 Placed on file the office reports County Sheriff quarterly report, County Clerk, Hall & <br /> Howard County Juvenile Services, County Attorney statistical report, Register of Deeds, <br /> County Sheriff report for March <br /> 8. 12 Placed on file the Hall County Treasurer's Miscellaneous Receipts <br /> 9. 13 Placed on file communications <br /> 1 <br />
