They <br /> hope to narrow it down to two options. <br /> Mr. Quandt stated that the Courthouse has been neglected and we need to address the issues <br /> for the next 50 years. <br /> Chairman McFarland asked the board members to e-mail their committee assignment requests <br /> to him. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANTS REPORT— Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka noted the upcoming NACO <br /> opportunities and the county board workshop and asked the board members to let her know if <br /> they wanted to attend. <br /> 21. RECONSIDER SALARY RESOLUTION & POSSIBLE ACTION- Mr. Arnold expressed <br /> concern regarding the salary resolution that was approved at the last meeting and stated he felt <br /> it affected two elected official very significantly. He reviewed the minutes and there were <br /> several issues the supervisors salaries and how much to raise the elected officials salaries. Six <br /> of the seven motions were on record for the 117.5% of the base for the sheriff and the surveyor <br /> but the resolution that was passed was for 115%. The supervisor's salaries were increased but <br /> have concern that the two people that were affected were not involved in the discussion and he <br /> would like to amend the resolution to increase their salaries by 117.5%. <br /> Arnold made a motion to increase the sheriff and the surveyor by the 117.5%. <br /> Mr. the Attorney Jack Zitterkopf stated that M . Arnold Amold was on t e losing side and noted that <br /> County Y <br /> according to Roberts Rules of Order the motion would have to be made by the prevailing side <br /> and you cannot do a motion to reconsider after the meeting is closed. You would have to have <br /> a motion to suspend the rules in order to reconsider the matter for this year's salary resolution. <br /> Lancaster clarified that it would have to come from the prevailing side. <br /> Mr. Arnold stated that he does not agree he doesn't think it means we cannot bring anything <br /> back for debate. Mr. Arnold asked if someone from the prevailing side would make the motion <br /> we need to heal the damage and fix the issue. <br /> Chairman McFarland called for a motion. No one responded.
