9:30 a.m. Held a Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 9:58 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> 6. 10:00 A.M. BID OPENING SOUTH LOCUST FARM LEASE—The following bids were <br /> received: <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID <br /> Brad Kroeger <br /> 9039 South Locust Street <br /> Doniphan, NE 68832 $ 7,300.00 <br /> Huxtable Farms LLC <br /> 8080 S. 90th Road <br /> Wood River, NE 68883 $4,777.00 <br /> Rod Nelson <br /> 2749 W. Platte River road <br /> Doniphan, NE 68832 $3,550.00 <br /> Travis Rainforth <br /> 13251 S 90th Road <br /> Wood River, NE 68883 $17,500.00 <br /> Purdy made a motion and Quandt seconded to refer the bids to the public works committee and <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf and they will review and come back in 2 weeks with a recommendation. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 5. COUNTY ATTORNEY - CONSIDER AND APPROVE A CONTRACT WITH BRYAN <br /> MEDICAL CENTER FOR MEDICAL SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN OF THE <br /> HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO SIGN THE SAME - County Attorney Jack <br /> Zitterkopf provided copies of the proposed contract. This is for medical services. Mr, Quandt <br /> questioned why they would use Bryan and Mr. Zitterkopf stated that it is the next closest if <br /> Richard Young and Mary Lanning hospitals are full. There was a time when we used Bryan and <br /> there is currently a balance with the hospital but with this agreement we would pay the same as <br /> we do with the other facilities and the rate will be locked in. <br /> Mr. Ziola stated that it is about a 25% discount. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Ziola seconded to authorize the chair to sign the agreement. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. There are 3 copies for signatures. <br /> 11. CONSIDER AND APPROVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE SOUTHERN PUBLIC <br /> POWERNVORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BUILDING FROM THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND <br /> AND AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN —This had been discussed by the board <br /> members in executive session. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the purchase of the Southern <br /> Public Power building and authorize the chair to sign the purchase agreement. <br /> 4 <br />
