<br />Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned
<br />by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding.

<br />Present on roll call .were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of April 14th meeting were accepted as received. On roll call vote
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none
<br />voted no. Motion oarried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He requested the Execu-
<br />tivesession to discuss with Board members 2 claims against Hall County.
<br />Osterday vs County Clerk and the Tort Claim of Robyn Shafer.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to go into Executive Session as
<br />requested by attorney. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie,
<br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Recessed for Executive Session at 9:04 A.M. and returned to regular session at
<br />9:28 A.M. on motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no.

<br />Frauen, seconded by Leslie to authorize Attorney Janulewicz to offer
<br />settlement in the Osterday vs County Clerk case. On roll call vote

<br />Motion carried.

<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to approve payment of the tort claim of
<br />..Shafer after obtaining a hold harmless clause signed statement. On roll call
<br />Yote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Wright and Landis voted yes, Quandt
<br />voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes, 1 no vote. -

<br />Discussion on the Mary Lanning Hospital Claim for EPC patients referred to
<br />County Attorney's office last\week for an opinion on the claim. Janulewicz
<br />stated he had no recommendation at this time, he wishes to research further
<br />before making a recommendation.

<br />Attorney Janulewicz presented resolution in regard to hiring outside attorneys
<br />to represent Hall County on tax foreclosures. He recommends adopting the
<br />resolution and also to having a committee from Board Members appointed to
<br />communi~atewith this law firm in regard to the foreclosure cases. This can
<br />be done~t later date.

<br />Motion bYQua~dt, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1372 as presented
<br />by Attorney. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Wright and\Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />NEBRASKA~ IN CERTAIN PROPERTY TAX FORECLOSURE ACTIONS.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall, Nebraska, by and through the Hall County
<br />
<br />Attorney, has;,/ c'ommenced action to foreclose liens for general real estate
<br />
<br />taxes and/or special assessments pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. Section
<br />
<br />77-1902 which actions are filed in the District Court of Hall County,
<br />
<br />Nebraska, to-wit:

<br />
