Motion carried. <br />County Sheriff, fees for January, February and March 1992 <br />'Clerk of District Court fees Collected for month of March $2925.00 <br />Communications~Civil Defense, Oct thru Dec 1991 quarterly report of <br />activities. <br /> <br />COMI.1UNICATIONS . <br /> <br />{l} from Wayne Bennett, City of Grand Island Director of Public Works in <br />regard to the City landfill Expansion plan and County Board needs to set <br />Public Hearing and suggested April 28, 1992 when Engineer JMM would be <br />able to be present to make a presentation. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to set April 28, 1992 at 10:30 A.M. to hold <br />Public Hearing concerning the application by City of Grand Island to construct <br />and operate a solid waste disposal area. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />(2) note from Mrs George Cain, Aurora, Ne to Supervisor Gary Quandt in support <br />of his vote opposing the expansion of south Locust Street corridor to 1-80 <br /> <br />(3) from Nebraska Game & Parks Commission in regard to the Rainwater Basin <br />Joint Venture report and comments and suggestions from March 10 and 11 <br />Management Board public meetings in York and Minden. <br /> <br />(4) from FireMaster, Omaha in regard to their services available for fire <br />protection needs for courthouses. <br /> <br />(5) State of Nebraska Department of Roads copy of letter sent to Senior Citizens <br />Industries on the Public Transportation Assistance for'Hall County Handi <br />Bus application. <br /> <br />(6) from Hall County Housing Authority requesting support of Hall County Board <br />for a planning grant to study, determine the needs and make plans for better <br />serving the low income residents of our community. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Quandt to authorize letter of support be sent <br />and authorize chairperson to sign the letter. On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />(7) Statement from Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE for $10,200.00 <br />for EPC patients that stayed over 5 days and County of residence is held <br />responsible for the remaining days @ $300/day. <br />Discussion followed as to the 5 days per contract and statement dates of <br />patients being over 90 days. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt, that we pay only 5 days as contract <br />calls for and deny payment of this claim. On roll call vote Hartman, Quandt, <br />and Landis voted yes, Abernethy, Frauen and Leslie voted no, Wright abstained. <br />Motion failed to carryon 3 yes, 3 no and 1 abstained vote. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to refer claim to County Attorney's <br />
