<br />Karen Niedfelt, Dave Swanson and Jurre Andrews, representatives from Overland
<br />National Bank, Grand Island spoke in regard to direct deposit for County
<br />employees salaries, as a benefit to employees.
<br />Doris Mason, County Treasurer and Gwen Goodrich, Deputy County Clerk were
<br />present during the presentation.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to authorize representatives of
<br />Overland Bank to look into direct deposit for county employees and to return
<br />with cost and additional information. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Elly Carrico, Clerk of District Court reported on her investigations into
<br />costs for lectriver from out of town dealers. She reported the following
<br />costs, firm in ,Lincoln, NE $22,119.00; firm in Denver Colorado $19,037.00
<br />and firm in Kansas $19,100.00 compared to Eakes, Grand Island quotation of
<br />$18,360.00 with local service.
<br />Motion by Wright, seconded by Quandt to authorize Clerk of District Court
<br />to purchase letriver for her office and pay for equipment from the Data Pro-
<br />cessing in miscellaneous general budget. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Referred to building and grounds committee to look into the location of where
<br />the lectriver is to be placed.

<br />Bill Yost and Kenny Brandt, representating the Nebraska Korean Veteran's
<br />Association were present. Mr Yost spoke and requested permission to place
<br />a Korean Veteran's monument on the courthouse grounds someplace. They have
<br />$2000.00 'and a local monument company is doing the designing.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to refer the request to Building and
<br />Grounds Committee for research and recommendation. On roll call vote Aber-
<br />nethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted
<br />no. Motion carried.

<br />Application for Conditional Use permit was presented and read from Kenneth H
<br />Elson, Attorney for Platte River By-Products Ltd, to place a mobile home on
<br />NE 1/4, El/3 of NWl/4 of NE 1/4 of Section 16, township 10, range 10, in
<br />Hall County for use as an office for applicant's animal and poultry packing
<br />and renqering plant business operation.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to set Public Hearing for April
<br />28, 1992 at 10:00 A.M. for conditional use permit for Platte River By-Products
<br />On roil call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
