COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HALL COUNTY, NEBRASKA, ~~~ ATTEST: Attorney Janulewicz presented copy of report from Paul Johnson, Industrial Hygienist on the results of air sampling in Administration Building with cost of $4999.72, new samples were to be taken this Saturday, but were cancelled due to all necessary supplies had not arrived. Cost of additional tests were estimated at $2320.00 plus laboratory fees. Discussion followed. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to approve the continuing of the air sampling testing recommended. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Sheriff Arnett was present and spoke to the board members in regard to the parking at the Safety Center. He gave each a copy of resolution dated 1985 that needed to be looked at and updated. Discussion on the parking area planned for area between the Courthouse and Social.Service building. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Quandt to authorize Dan Hostler, Public Works Director to go forth with project with as many parking stalls as possible to be located between Courthouse and Social Services building. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, Leslie voted no. Motion carried on 6 yes and 1 no vote. Sheriff stressed the need for an updated resolution to enforce the one hour parking sign that have been placed. Arnett reported at the Criminal Justice Committee he had discussed with them about purchase of additional 4 patrol cars, Would'like to purchase 2 from the 1991-1992 budget from the State bid which list Ford Taurus $11,229.00 and full size cars at $12,112.00 Discussion on purchase and where funding would come from. Committee had recommended 2 cars cost estimate of $25,000.00 be paid from the jail remodel- ing line item in miscellaneous general budget. Sheriff Arnett suggested buying two cars now and budget for 2 more cars in 1992-1993 budget. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Wright to authorize purchase of 4 patrol cars, contingent on finding budget funds available. On roll call vote Abernethy Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Sheriff Arnett requested authorization to offer hepatitus B vaccinations for Jail and Sheriff employees. ,Has 50 employees and this is a set of 3 shots, good for 7 years @ $80.00 per person. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to authorize hepatitus B vaccinations 1r,'"W' ,if..;;" 1 and Sheriff employees and to include Building and Grounds department
