Jill <br />Rubottom(Hami1ton County) Region III & V et a1 <br /> <br />(4) Notice from O'Keefe Elevator Co, Inc of increase in price from $128.50 to <br />$130.75 effective May 1, 1992 <br /> <br />(5) Letter from Earl N. Hanel, Grand Island in regard to valuation of property <br />at 24-11-9 (letter to be attached to property valuation protest and be <br />considered in Board of Equalization) <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications <br />received today. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman reported on proposed interest rates County Treasurer had received from <br />banks on county deposits. <br /> <br />Frauen reported on request from Chairman of Hall County Democrat Party in <br />regard to list of registered voters. Discussion followed and Mary Kay Shay <br />Election Commissioner was called to meeting to explain the lists available. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to stand by Election Commissioner <br />and Committee recommendation and to continue to provide list according to <br />State Statute for request from Democrat Party or any other requests for voter <br />registration lists. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Landis voted yes, Hartman and Wright voted no. Motion~ carried. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported the people from Kansas City were here for the evaluation <br />of the local Head Start Office and we should be getting the results soon. <br /> <br />Leslie reported on the NIRMA Safety Committee meeting. <br />information on this meeting. <br /> <br />Wright also added <br /> <br />Hartman spoke about the Weed patch and pond near the County Park next to the <br />Sundowner. He requested Park Committee be authorized to look into the <br />possible purchase of this property and add to County Park to clean up the <br />area. Park Committee to research the suggetion. <br /> <br />Ellen Mer~ill, County Board Assistant presented a claim she had received from <br />the County Highway Department for $1240.00 for time at weed building and some <br />miscellaneous costs. Discussion followed and was suggested bidding out these <br />projects instead of just having the Highway Department do them. <br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to deny payment of the claim submitted <br />by Highway Department for $1240.00 On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,Hartman <br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Me<rril'l, 'Board Assistant reported she had received phone call in regard to <br />property on Court Street is being placed on market and if County might be inter- <br />ested in purchasing. Discussion followed. <br />
