<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, APRIL 7, 1992
<br />
<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. f~om adjourned session
<br />and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of March 31st meeting were accepted as received by mail, On motion by
<br />Quandt, seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. He spoke in regard to
<br />the agreement with Hamilton Telephone Co. which was tabled last week until
<br />questions were answered. Howard Maxon, Communications Director was present,
<br />to answer questions from the board members.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to accept the E9ll System agreement
<br />witp Hamilton Telephone Co and authorize chairman to sign the agreement. On
<br />roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Janulewicz spoke in regard to the Heartland Coop vs Board of Equalization
<br />District Court case on 1991 pr6perty protest on grain elevator at Wood River.
<br />Purchase price was $79,000,but ,would settle for $85,000.00 valuation. Attorney
<br />Janulewicz recommends the board approve the settlement.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to approve the settlement for the
<br />$85,000.00 and authorize chairman to sign the order of settlement with Heart-
<br />land Coop. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Janulewicz reported the deed is ready to be executed and closed on
<br />Lots 20 & 21 Kallos Second Subdivision.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Wright to authorize Chairperson
<br />execute the deed for sale of lots 20 & 21 Kallos 2nd Subdivision.
<br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis
<br />none voted no. Motion carried. '

<br />Janulewicz reported he had received the letter in regard to request to vacate
<br />Nine Bridge Road. He has prepared resolution to authorize County highway
<br />superintendent to study the use being made of the road.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Quandt to adopt Resolution #1365 as
<br />prepared. ,On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />RESOLUTION #: JE~~
<br />
<br />BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the County Board of Hall County, Nebraska,
<br />
<br />hereby determines that the public interest may require vacation or
<br />
<br />abandonment of that portion of the public road as described in Exhibit A,
<br />
<br />which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; the
<br />
<br />county highway superintendent is hereby directed to study the, use being
<br />
<br />made of the aforesaid public road and to submit in writing to the County
<br />
<br />Board within 30 days a report of such study and his recommendations as to
<br />
<br />the vacation or abandonment thereof.
