<br />Agreement with ~e of Nebraska Department of Roads qn Project Number F-281-2
<br />(1008) Grand Island North was presented for consideration. This project
<br />consists of 3.96 miles of grading, concrete pavement, culverts, landscaping,
<br />bridges, guardrail and lighting on US Highway 281 improvements from Grand Island
<br />~north to highway reference post 78+22. Hall County agrees to tie out land
<br />monuments prior to construction work and to tie and remonument as necessary
<br />after construction is completed. The State will reimburse the County up to
<br />$100.00 to tie out and $100.:00 to remonument, with maximum cost not to exceed
<br />$2800.00 for the tie out work and $2800.00 for the remonument work. .
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to approve the agreement as presented
<br />and authorize chairman to sign. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie,
<br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Agreement with Southern Power District of Grand Island on Project No. BRS-2255 (1)
<br />was presented. This project is for moving of power poles along county road
<br />project to widen road. The county agrees to reimburse the Utility in lump sum
<br />payment of $3039.00. Location is at Northeast corner of Ordnance Plant.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to approve the agreement as presented
<br />and authorize chairman to sign. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie,
<br />Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Agreement between Hall County and EA Engineering, Science and Technology, Inc.,
<br />for Project No. STP-5415(1), C.N. 41415 was presented for consideration, to
<br />provide environmental impact statement for project Grand Island South in Hall
<br />County.
<br />Motion by Wright, seconded by Leslie to accept the agreement with E.A.
<br />Engineering as presented and authorize chairman to sign. On roll call vote
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted
<br />no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried.

<br />Resolution was presented for consideration in regard to Project BRS-2245(2).
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1362 as presented.

<br />WHEREAS. there has been signed by Hall County on
<br />the 5th day of April . 19~ and the State on the 19th day
<br />of April I 19mL- an agreement providing for the construction of a
<br />
<br />Federal Aid Secondary proiect beginning approximateiv 0.4 mile north
<br />
<br />of the Southeast Corner of Section 17. Township 11 North. Range 12 West
<br />
<br />and extends 0.1 mile north.

<br />WHEREAS, in the above agreement, the County has pledged sufficient funds to
<br />finance its share of the cost of the construction of this project identified as
<br />No. BRS-2245 (2) I and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the above mentioned agreement provided that the County would pay
<br />all costs not paid for with Federal or State funds, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the State received bids for the construction of this project on
<br />March 19. 1992 at which time 8 bids were received for
<br />the construction of this proposed work, and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS. the following contractor(s) for the items of work listed has been selected
<br />as the low bidder(s) to whom a contract(s) should be awarded:

<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the above facts, the Board of
<br />Supervisors of Hall County, by this re:iOlution,
<br />takes the following official action:
<br />
<br />1. If for any reason the Federal Highway Administration rescinds, limits its
<br />obligations, or defers payment of the Federal share of the cost of this project. the
<br />County hereby agrees to provide the necessary funds to pay for all costs incurred
<br />until and in the event such federal funds are allowed and paid.
<br />
<br />2. The Board hereby concurs in the selection of the above mentioned contractor(s)
<br />for the items of work listed. to whom a contract(s) should be awarded.
<br />
