~ 'feR r- f~ NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the Hall County Zoning Resolution be amended to permit animal or poultry packing or rendering plants as a conditional use in the AG-1 zone and that section 5.1 (c) of said zoning - -~ resolution be amended by adding: Animal or poultry packing or rendering plants. Hartman - absent J -. -~~ ~, '=1 Janulewicz discussed with the.Board members the property tax foreclosures. He stated the statutes provides county board may appoint outside counsel to handle tax foreclosure. He recommends an outside law firm to handle the foreclosures'&nastart with the three oldest cases to try and see what works out. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to authorize Janulewicz to contact law firms and return with recommendation or resolution to start with the three oldest cases. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright, and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. ~ -=1 Letter was presented from Robyn Shafer in regard to her fall down stairs at the administration building on December 13, 1991. She requested county pay the balance of bill of $151.70 left unpaid by her insurance company. Deputy Attorney had recommended the letter be treated as a tort claim. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to receive letter and refer to County Attorney's office for further recommendation. On roll call vote Abernethy, . Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried. Elly Carrico, Clerk of District Court made a request for purchase of a Kardex 80 Lektriever System for her office at estimated cost of $18,360.00 She als6 reported that if legislative bill passe.s that they be required to accept fax copies in her office she will need a plain paper fax mabhine in her office. Board members accepted her requests and will study to see if funds are available to make purchases. 10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING to consider request from City of Grand Island for the removal of properties from the County Industrial areas. Affidavit of publication was read as published in Grand Island Daily Independent on March 13, March 20 and March 27 1992. Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director showed map of the areas in question and explained the locations. Keith Sinor, City Attorney was also present. Those present and speaking were Marval Hornady, Hornady Manufacturing owner of 3815 W Old Potash Highway former Farmers Choice location. She stated is ~sed as a warehous~ for .Horna~y ~anufacturing at the present timer al1U a Representative from Construction ~ental Inc, 3505 W Old Potash Highway also spoke. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to consider the proposed sites as:. marked and listed and to remove all from the County Industrial tract.
