<br />,,9~r- ~~ <br /> <br />.~ HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MARCH 10, 1992 <br />t- <br />1:'1 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session <br />~ and published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding. <br /> <br />'~I <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of March 3rd meeting were accepted as received by mail, on motion <br />by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was present. <br />Sheriff Emmett Arnett and Dave Faimon, McDermott & Miller were present. <br />Discussion on the fee collection in the Sheriff's office. Sheriff reported <br />in doing an in house audit by his employees found some of fees had not been <br />billed. He recommends hiring McDermott & Miller to review the in house <br />audit and look at updating the bookkeeping system in the office. <br />Dave Faimon presented a proposal of estimated cost of $2200.00 to $3000.00 <br />for the review and looking at updating the system. <br />Motion by Wright, seconded by Frauen to approve the request from Sheriff <br />Arnett to hire McDermott & Miller to do the review and updating the'book- <br />keeping system. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Wright, <br />and Landis voted yes, Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz explained the reasons for Executive Session on <br />the agenda to discuss the Heartland Coop vs Board of Equalization court case <br />and also the strategy for bargaining union negotiations. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to recess for Executive Session <br />as requested by Deputy Attorney to discuss Heartland Coop court case and <br />the union negotiation strategy. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 9:26 A.M. and returned to regular session at 9:42 A.M. <br />on motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carr ied. . <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to hire firm of Harding & Ogborn to be <br />representative for union negotiations. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz presented a resolution in regard to the transfer <br />of real property to Chief Industries, Inc and Chief Automotive Systems Inc. <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1354 as <br />presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, <br />Wright and Landis voted yes,none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # /.35 f <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the 14th day of January, 1992, the County Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors of Hall County, Nebraska, approved of and authorized the <br /> <br />conveyance by the County of Hall of certain real property to Chief <br /> <br />Industries, Inc. pursuant to the terms and conditions of the leases and <br /> <br />agreements by and between the County of Hall as lessor and Chief <br /> <br />Industries, Inc. as lessee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1984, pursuant to a sublease agreement by and between <br /> <br />Chief Industries, Inc. as sublessor and Chi-ef Aut~tive Systems, Inc. as <br /> <br />sublessee, Chief Industri-es, Inc. assigned to' Chief Automotive Systems, <br /> <br />Inc. its right to purchase from HaLl County the real property described in <br /> <br />exhibit A, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this <br /> <br />reference. <br />
