<br />Discussion on progress on the railroad crossing request to State of Nebraska
<br />and Railroads. Dan Hostler, Public Works Director requested ~ermission to
<br />proceed with the programing of railroad crossing 2 miles SE Cairo.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to authorize Dan to program the
<br />railroad crossing discussed 2 miles. SE Cairo. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />COMMUNICATIONS:
<br />
<br />(1) State of Nebraska Department of Environmental Control invitation to
<br />attend the Waste Reduction and Recycling Incentive Grants Program, Grants
<br />Education workshops schedlllp.d ~cross the State. One is scheduled for Thursday
<br />April 16, 1992 in Grand Island at Riverside Inn, Highway 34 and South Locust
<br />Street1 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
<br />
<br />(2) Letter from Kent Oelkers, Interstate Structures Inc, in regard to some
<br />of reasons why the Weed Control Building and the Building & Grounds building
<br />are behind schedule.
<br />
<br />(3) State of Nebraska Department of Roads in regard to two projects BRS-2245(2)
<br />and BRS-2234(3) which State will receive bids on March 19, 1992 at 10:00 a.m.
<br />in Lincoln.
<br />
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to place on file the communications
<br />received today. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt,
<br />Wright and Landis voted yes1 none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Dan Hostler presented Supplemental Agreement- he had received from State of
<br />Nebraska Department of Roads in regard to Project F-28l-2(1008) that changes
<br />the legal description of the new site, and extends the completion date until
<br />June 1, 1992, for functional replacement of buildings and land.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to authorize chairperson to sign
<br />the supplemental agreement as presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />
<br />Dan Hostler reported State bid on pickup for highway department was from Park
<br />Place in Lincoln for $13,957.73 under State Bid No. CA3634.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to authorize Hostler to purchase
<br />one pickup from the State bid. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Abernethy reported onthe County Board's workshop in Kearney held in February.
<br />
<br />Hostler reported on meeting he attended in Washington D.C.

<br />Hartman reported briefly on Mid Nebraska Services meeting.

<br />Abernethy reported on Juvenile meeting she attended in St Louis.
<br />Quandt reported on Task Force Meeting and Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting.
<br />Wright also reported on the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting.

<br />Heard Board Assistant's weekly report. Also reminder of '. the Criminal
<br />Justice m~eting at 1:30 p.m. today at Sheriff's office.

<br />Abernethy requested the old oak chairs in storage be given to Tom Drudik at
