<br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Motion by Wright, seconded, by Landis that Deputy Attorney Janulewicz release
<br />to employees and the public what actions are being taken at this time in
<br />regard to odor problem in Administration building. On roll call vote Aber-

<br />voted no. Motion carried.

<br />COMMUNICATIONS:

<br />(1) Progress reports from Interstate Structures, Kearney, Nebraska in
<br />regard to Weed Control Building on West 2nd Street and Building &
<br />Grounds building on South Sycamore.
<br />
<br />(2) Buck Construction requesting name be placed on mailing list which
<br />advertises county building projects.
<br />
<br />(3) Mike Francl, AT&T Account Executive for the Grand Island area
<br />inquiring as to new telephones for businesses.
<br />
<br />(4) Computer Hardware, Kearney, Nebraska are a vendor on the state
<br />facimile bid thru July 31, 1992
<br />
<br />(5) Letter and claim from Vince Dowding Attorney for his client James F.
<br />Castleberry for accumulated sick leave.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to refer letter to County Attorney for
<br />recommendation. On roll call vote Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Quandt, Wright
<br />and Frauen voted yes, none voted no, Leslie abstained as was absent from room
<br />when letter was read. Motion carried.

<br />COMMITTEE REPORTS:
<br />
<br />Hartman reported he had toured and reviewed some road complaints he had received
<br />from Hall County residents.
<br />
<br />Leslie reported he had attended College Park Meeting. Still concern over the
<br />$150,000.00 sales tax required. Still looking for answer and solution.
<br />
<br />Jan Pelland, County Assessor reported to Board Members she had received a
<br />re-certification on the 1990 Public: Utilities refunds. Total refund is
<br />$235,000.00 for 1990 of which Hall County's share if $38,387.09. She will
<br />certify the information to County Treasurer and they have 30 days to notify
<br />the subdivisions.
<br />
<br />Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant spoke in regard to copies of county
<br />audit to departments, the NIRMA Safety Act Committee, reminder to set road
<br />tour date (will set next week) Also reminder that evaluations will be due
<br />within next 30 days for Election Commissioner Mary Kay Shay, Building & Grounds
<br />Superintendent Rick Stapanek and Veterans Service Officer Don Shuda. Each
<br />Board member will make evaluation and Assistant will compile into one report.
<br />Reminder that the Head Start lunch will be January 21, 1992 at 12:15 P.M.
<br />There will be a NIRMA Insurance meeting in connection with County Board of
<br />Supervisors workshop on Wednesday February 19th, 1992. Also had call if
<br />Board Members had made a decision on office space available for Family Violence
<br />Coalition.

<br />\bernethy reported she had written Thank You notes to volunteers who helped from
<br />hours to 27 hours to help sort items at Children's Village.
<br />'ernethy also showed some pictures of the Detention Center at Scottsbluff.
<br />
<br />~,tman reported he had visited the new Children's Village Center and asked
<br />~tions. They are getting started and have 5 foster homes available at the
<br />'en t time.
