<br />93F.5'S~ <br /> <br />"' <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, DECEMBER 7, 1993 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were <br />absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of November 30th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by <br />Stelk, seconded by Hartman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He presented informa- <br />tion on Surety bonds proposed by Norwest Bank for deposits of county funds <br />by County Treasurer. Had received letter from State Auditor's office that <br />surety bonds are approved for deposits under state statutes. Claudia <br />Frederick, Norwest Bank~ecurities:department spoke. Also Doris Mason, <br />County Treasurer and BObMyers-,-president of Norwest Bank Grand Island spoke <br />in support of surety bonds. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to stay as we are with county <br />deposits. Frauen, Hartman, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, Abernethy and <br />Stelk voted no, Landis abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board members requested County Treasurer to get additional information from <br />other counties of type of deposits used and Board Assistant to check with <br />NACO office. Preferred information to be in writing. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy to approve and authorize chairman <br />to sign the Notification of County Highway Superintendent for determining <br />Incentive Payment for January 1, 1993 to December 31, 1993 for Nebraska <br />Department of Roads. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board members were ~ach_ given letter from Deputy Attorney Janulewicz in <br />regard to payment of claims for court appointed counsel. Also copy of <br />letter from NACO in regard to County Burial survey by counties. <br /> <br />Sandi Yoder, Executive Director of Stuhr Museum made presentation and update <br />on musuem damages and repairs from summer rains and storms. Also present <br />were members of Stuhr Museum Board and Warren Rogers, employee of Museum. <br />Yoder stated at present estimate from FEMA and insurance $119,000. but esti- <br />mate total loss of over $125,000. and are estimating spending $20,000.00 <br />to prevent from happening again. <br />Bud Wolbach, Stuhr Musuem Board members spoke in appreciation for <br />Sandi Yoder, Executive Director of Museum. <br /> <br />Final Plats for Subdivisions were presented for Lesiak Subdivision located <br />on south side of Lakeside Drive near the easterly end of this cul-de-sac drive, <br />Kramer's Subdivision located on east side of US Highway 281, approximately <br />1,000 feet north of Airport Road and Roth Subdivision located on north side <br />of Stolley Park Road approximately 1/4 mile east of Cameron Road. <br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director was present and explained the <br />subdivisions and stated the Regional Planning Commission had approved and <br />recommended County Board approval as submitted. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to approve and authorize chairman <br />to sign the Final Plats for Lesiak Subdivision, Kramer's Subdivision and <br />Roth Subdivision as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Board meeting for December 21 and December 28th were discussed. Motion by <br />Frauen, seconded by Abernethy tohQ~dmeeting on December 21st but cancell <br />the County Board meeting for \Dege~~~_~8th~, On roll call vote Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt-and Stelk voted yes, none voted no: <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on the clarification of claims for. - -~-~appointed counsel. The <br />letter from Deputy Attorney was discussed. LandIs-and Stelk had been doing <br />some checking with District Judges. Board Assistant had received letter from <br />County Judge Bush in regard to request form for information for court <br />appointed counsel. <br /> <br />10:30 A.M.
