He came to <br />meeting and explained purchase~ <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Leslie to approve payment of claim for the <br />purchase of 60 chairs by Correction Director. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. from Howard Maxon, Communications Director in regard to power outages and <br />calls to 911, to Mayor Dobesh, with copy to County Board of Supervisors. <br /> <br />2.from Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, to Joel <br />Dalton, Corrections Director to acknowledge the corrections of library <br />materials, exercise and recreation is sufficient to meet requirements of <br />jail standards, and facility is now is compliance on that matter. To achieve <br />full compliance they are requiring confirmation from Fire Marshall in regard <br />to life safety codes. <br /> <br />3. from State Auditor of Public Accounts in regard to whether child support <br />Incentive payment should be included on the schedule of Federal Financial <br />Assistance. <br /> <br />4. from Denzel Busick, Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce in regard to <br />Transportation Center Feasibility Study <br /> <br />5. from Peter Kotsiopulos, Kearney City Council Member. in regard to Corn- <br />husker Army Ammunition Plant site. <br /> <br />6. Chairman Quandt read letter he received from Hall County Airport Authority <br />Manager Russ Johnson in regard to appointment of Joint Airport Committee, <br />with copy of letter from Chairman Airport Authority to Ron Larsen, City of <br />Kearney. <br /> <br />7. Abernethy read letter received from Central Nebraska Community Services <br />Inc in regard to their application for Community Incentive Grant Funds, <br />asking for letter of support from Hall County. (agreed for Abernethy <br />to write letter and fax to Central Nebraska Community Services. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Stelk to place on file the communications <br />received today. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman reported on Mid Nebraska Retardation Board meeting held last Wednes- <br />day, had invited Senators representingthe22 counties and funding was dis- <br />cussed. All Senators were there except Christensen from Minden and Fisher <br />from Grand Island. Will have Board Assistant write letter to those Senators <br />present, expressing appreciation and also letter to encourage support of the <br />funding, with copies to Governor Nelson and Senator Wesley. <br /> <br />Abernethy reported she attended Governor's Efficiency Summit meeting in <br />Lincoln last week, also the Shoemaker School breakfast, the Jaycees meeting <br />in regard to teen center, She has received blueprint of Children's Village <br />building.
