<br />Discussion on the evaluation of appointed officials for Hall County, in
<br />regard to salaries and the step raises on anniversary dates.
<br />
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to proceed this year, but effective
<br />July 1, 1994 to throw out evaluation forms and all merit and step increases
<br />for appointed .department head~. Discussion followed. Motion was changed
<br />to lion salary step increases everything stay same until July 1, 1994.
<br />More discussion followed and then motion and seconded was withdrawn.

<br />Motion by Frauen, secohded by Hartman to rescined motion of last week in
<br />regard to merit increases. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie,
<br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to give merit increases as proposed for
<br />this year for appointed officials, on their anniversary dates, provided funds
<br />can be found in their budgets, except hold on Veterans Service Office salary
<br />until we check State Statutes. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis and
<br />Leslie voted yes, Quandt and Stelk voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Chairman recessed the meeting at 12:03 p.m to return at 1:30 p. m. for
<br />Board of Corrections meeting.
<br />
<br />Returned for Board of Corrections meeting at 1:30 p.m. with all board members
<br />present except Hartman, and returned to regular session at 1:55 p.m. with
<br />Hartman absent.
<br />
<br />Letter of resignation was read from Elloise Carrico,Clerk;,of District Court,
<br />effective November 1, 1993 instead of December 31, 1993.
<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Frauen to accept letter of resignation
<br />from Elloise Carrico, Clerk of District Court. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Discussion on sending letter of appreciation to Elloise Carrico.
<br />Chairman Quandt turned gavel over to Vice Chairman, Robert Leslie to conduct
<br />meeting.

<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Abernethy to have Hall County Board draft
<br />letter of appreciation to Elloise Carrico. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman,
<br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none. voted no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Chairman Quandt returned to chair to conduct balance of meeting.
<br />
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Frauen to accept and place on file
<br />County Treasurer's miscellaneous receipts as presented. Abernethy,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
