PUBLIC HEARING ON 1993~1994 HALL COUNTY BUDGET Affidavit of Publication was presented and read regarding an increase in anticipated property tax up to 5 percent for 1993-1994 Hall County Budget. No one from audience spoke for or against the proposed increase. Board Members discussed the proposal. Board Assistant Ellen Merrill reported the proposed budget is $157,055. under the 5% and proposed $153,035 from Inheritance be transferred back to road fund under tax asking. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to approve increase up to 5% property tax requirements for 1993-1994 Hall County budget. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.- Affidavit of publication was presented and read for the proposed 1993-1994 Hall County Budget. 3 members Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Promotion Buerau were present and 3 county officials County Assessor, County Treasurer and Public Works Director. Jan Pelland, County Assessor spoke in regard to the $14,586. county board had removed from her budget request. She explained her reasons for request to have $8586.00 replaced. Ellen Merrill, County Board Assistant spoke in regard to ADA budget of $78,530.00 request and since are unable to exempt this amount from the 5% recommended placing $68,530.00 in miscellaneous general budget and not have separate fund to require $10,000. cash reserve. Doris Mason, County Treasurer spoke in regard to the inheritance tax fund. She requested when large amount is to be spent in any month to advise her since she has money invested in CD's No others spoke in regard to the 1993-1994 budget. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman to close the public hearing for the 1993-1994 Hall County Budget. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes. None voted no. Moition carried. Hearing was closed at 11:30 a.m. Board members discussed requests. Motion by Ste1k, seconded by Frauen to grant the for fiscal year 1993-1994 office budget. Abernethy, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, Landis voted no. Assessor $247,000.00 Frauen, Hartman, Motion carried. Motion by Ste1k, seconded by Hartman to remove the ADA fund from county budget and place $68,530.00 in miscellaneous general budget for ADA require- ments. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted y.es, none voted no. Motion carried.
