<br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz presented letter from Attorney General's office
<br />on County retirement question to be placed under communications.

<br />~ Attorney Janulewicz requested the Regional III Letter of Agreement for
<br />Emgergency Protective Custody be place~ on next week's agenda at the
<br />request of Deputy Attorney Mark Young.
<br />

<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to authorize chairman to sign the
<br />Lease Agreement between School District of Grand Island, Lessor and Hall
<br />County Head Start, Lessee for space at Connell School for 1 year. Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Continued audit of monthly claims. Discussion on claim for Nebraska Machinery
<br />Co for $8000.00 for Road Fund. Chairman Quandt to make phone call to Omaha
<br />office for information.
<br />
<br />Supervisors Hartman and Frauen left meeting at 11:50 a.m.
<br />Chairman recessed meeting at 12:00 noon to return to regular session at
<br />1:30 P.M.
<br />
<br />Returned to regular session at 1:30 p.m. with all County Board Members present.
<br />
<br />Bill Bean, Weed Control Authority Superintendent visited with Board Members
<br />in regard to 1993-1994 budget and explained the reasons for changes made
<br />from budget submitted by former Superintendent Schwartzkopf. Also discussed
<br />the parking lots and driveway around the building. Had received estimate
<br />for asphalt for $16,000.00 Board members stated they will need to place for
<br />bids ,and need to research. Delayed any action for one week to research as
<br />to whether to place for bids as separate project or if can be placed on with
<br />some asphalt road project bids. Accepted 1993-1994 Weed Control Authority
<br />budget at total of $209,901. to include $25,000.00 cash reserve. Will place
<br />funds aside in Inheritnace Fund to hardsurface the parking lot at weed building.
<br />
<br />Leslie, Chairman Park Committee reported at their meeting they recommend to
<br />reseed the park due to flood damages. Had estimate of $11,000.00 however
<br />Hartman and Frauen had checked with others and Hartman had estimate of $4800.
<br />
<br />Letter with check for $5000.00 from Edgar Reynolds Foundation was presented
<br />by County Clerk for the Hall County Park Department to be used for repairs
<br />due to storm damages at the Park.
<br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Hartman to accept the check for $5000.00
<br />for Hall County Park from Edgar Reynolds Foundation Inc for Hall county Park
<br />repair use only. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and
<br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Frauen to authorize Kaufman to proceed with the
<br />reseeding of Hall County Park and use the funds received from Foundation to
<br />pay the costs. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Lapdis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Resolution for State of Nebraska, Designation of applicants authorized repre-
<br />sentative was presented.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution *1508 and
<br />appoint Dan Hostler, Hall County Public Works Director as the representative.
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted
<br />no. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Letter was read from Hall County Treasurer requesting resolution to strike
<br />the uncollectible delinquent 1990 personal taxes from the tax list.
<br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to adopt Resolution #1509 to auth-
<br />orize striking uncollectible delinquent 1990 personal taxes. Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />vmEREAS. the County Treasurer had brought to the attention of the
<br />County Board of Supervisors of Hall County, Nebraska. that there are personal
<br />property taxes which have been on her records for more than two years and remain
<br />unpaid, and
<br />WH~REAS. the County Board of Supervisors of Hall County, Nebrask~ is
<br />satisfied that the County Treasurer has used due diligence to collect said taxes.
