Following discussion motion and second was withdrew, and <br />to refer to County Attorney's office for opinion. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to refer letter to County <br />Attorney. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, none <br />voted no, with Hartman and Ste1k absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Veterans Service Officer in regard to appointment of committee <br />member for Veterans Service Committee. Interviews to be placed on next week's <br />agenda . .~ <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janu1ewicz introduced Steve Schatz and Gerald <br />Otoupal from State Department of Revenue who spoke in regard to Keno opera- <br />tions in Hall County. License should be issued in next couple weeks, and <br />Hall County responsibilities for Keno operation, need for annual audit by <br />Independent Certified Public Accountant. <br />Larry Taylor, Fonner Keno Manager and Keith Sinor, City Attorney were <br />present during the discussion. <br />Gerald Otoupal spoke in regard to the quarterly reports and State 2% <br />share of funds. <br />Schatz reported LB563 will make changes in keno operations effective <br />October 1, 1993 and reviewed several sections of the bill. <br />Larry Taylor reported had received 5 applications for satellite opera- <br />tions by Fonner Keno Inc. <br />Questions and answer session was held.
