Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to accept the surety bond from Norwest Bank. Following discussion motion and second was withdrew, and to refer to County Attorney's office for opinion. Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to refer letter to County Attorney. Abernethy, Frauen, Landis, Leslie and Quandt voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman and Ste1k absent. Motion carried. Letter from Veterans Service Officer in regard to appointment of committee member for Veterans Service Committee. Interviews to be placed on next week's agenda . .~ Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janu1ewicz introduced Steve Schatz and Gerald Otoupal from State Department of Revenue who spoke in regard to Keno opera- tions in Hall County. License should be issued in next couple weeks, and Hall County responsibilities for Keno operation, need for annual audit by Independent Certified Public Accountant. Larry Taylor, Fonner Keno Manager and Keith Sinor, City Attorney were present during the discussion. Gerald Otoupal spoke in regard to the quarterly reports and State 2% share of funds. Schatz reported LB563 will make changes in keno operations effective October 1, 1993 and reviewed several sections of the bill. Larry Taylor reported had received 5 applications for satellite opera- tions by Fonner Keno Inc. Questions and answer session was held. Copy of the procedures from Lincoln Keno operation were left with Attorney Janulewicz. County Board meeting recessed at 12:17 p.m. will return to session at 1:30 p.m. Returned to session at 1:30 p.m. for Hall County Board of Corrections meeting. Returned to regular session at 2:24 p.m. with all board members present.
