Receive and open bids for furnishing hand guns and related equipment <br />for the Hall County Sheriff's Department. <br />Affidavit of publication was read as published in Grand Island Independent <br />on June 1st and June 8th 1993. <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Abernethy to open bids received. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Landis <br />absent. Most felt trade in was not reasonable for <br />amount of equipment. Sheriff Arnett made statement that he and Chief Deputy <br />Steeple felt would be even bid and trade in. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to reject all bids received. Aber- <br />nethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with <br />Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Roger Nygaard, Executive Director Chamber of Commerce presented each board <br />member with copy of lifestyle magazine,"Grand Island At home in the heartland" <br />published by Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Foundation and Convention and <br />Visitors Bureau. <br /> <br />State of Nebraska Department of Roads supplemental agreement for FY-93 for <br />federal operating assistance increase of $1500.00 <br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to accept the supplemental agree- <br />ment with State of Nebraska Department of Roads and authorize Chairman to sign <br />the agreement. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Recessed for Board of Equalization at 1:54 p.m. and returned to regular session <br />at 1:57 p.m. <br /> <br />2:00 P.M.
