<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, JUNE 15, 1993

<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session
<br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman,
<br />Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Absent was Margaret Landis.
<br />
<br />Invocation was' given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of June 8th meeting were accepted as received on motion by Stelk,
<br />. seconded by Frauen. Abernethy, Frauen, Hart~an, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk
<br />voted yes, none voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He presented settlement
<br />agreement for JameS F. Castleberry vs Hall County and claim for settlement in
<br />amount of $968.33. Janulewicz recommended approving the settlement agree-
<br />ment and payment of claim.
<br />Motion by Abernethy, seconded by Stelk to approve and authorize chairman
<br />to sign the settlement agreement and payment of claim as presented. Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no, with Landis
<br />absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />James F Castleberry, settlement, $968.33 General Fund
<br />
<br />Attorney Janulewicz presented resolution to set date and time for Public Hear-
<br />ing on the proposed abandonment of portions of certain county roads.
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to adopt Resolution #1495 as pre-
<br />sented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none
<br />voted no, with Landis absent. Motion carried.

<br />~ A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE AND TIME FOR A PUBLIC BEARING
<br />ON TBE PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN COUNTY
<br />ROADS. . .
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the County Board of Ball County, Nebraska,
<br />hereinafter "County Board, II was requested by various persons to
<br />consider the abandonment or vacation of two portions of county
<br />roads within Ball County, Nebraska, to-wit:
<br />
<br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section One (1)
<br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Eleven (11) West of th~
<br />6th 1;' .M. Ball County, Nebraska, thence easterly along the
<br />section line Four and One Fourth (4 1/4). miles to the
<br />Northeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of' Section
<br />Three (3), Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10)
<br />West, said right-of-way being the Northerly 33 feet of
<br />the above described Section. Known as Loup River Road.
<br />
<br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section Three
<br />(3), Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) West.
<br />thence southerly along Section line to the Southwest
<br />Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section Three (3)
<br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) West said
<br />right-of-way being 33 feet each side of said S~ction
<br />line. Known as Engleman Road; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to such request and by resolution of the
<br />County Board, the Hall County Public Works Director was directed to
<br />make a study of the use made of said roads and submit his findings
<br />in writing to the County Board; and
<br />WHEREAS, the County Public Works Director completed said study
<br />and reported his findings to the County Board"which desires to hold
<br />
<br />.

<br />a public hearing on the proposed abandonment or vacation of the
<br />above-described portions of county roads.
