<br />13r--/1~ <br />"-.~," <br />~J <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, <br /> <br />JUNE 1, 1993 <br /> <br />',!f' <br /> <br />~ The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />'~~rgaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie St~lk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of May 25th meeting be accepted as received on motion by Stelk, <br />seconded by Hartman. Abernethy wished added her statement on the joint budget <br />committee recommendation that she felt (3) on the driving under influence <br />should be separate and not part of committee recommendation. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Ste1k voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />County Attorney's office was not represented today. <br /> <br />City of Grand Island Mayor Dobesh was present. He spoke briefly, thanking the <br />County Board for the cooperation with Keno. There needs to be an understand- <br />ing and cooperation between City and County. Discussion followed. He stated <br />if County Board wishes to meet with the full City Council to decide on a date <br />and send letter to the Mayor. <br /> <br />Resolution was presented in regard to closing of Loup River Road being referred <br />to County Highway Superintendent to conduct study of the use of road and make <br />recommendation as to the Vacation or abandonment of road. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Hartman to adopt Resolution #1494 as pre- <br />sented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION i /~?:;L <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain roads in Hall County has been requested <br />to be closed by the Ball County ~oard of Supervisors, a copy <br />of the location of that road is attached; and <br />WHEREAS, there needs to be a study of the use being made <br />of such public ,road by the County Highway Superintendent. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board <br />of Supervisors that the County Highway Superintendent conduct <br />a study of the use being made of: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section One (1), <br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Eleven (11) West of the 6th <br />P.M. Hall County, Nebraska, thence easterly along the section <br />line Four and One Fourth (4 1/4) miles to the Northeast <br />Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of <br />Section Three (3), Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) <br />West, said right-of-way being the Northerly 33 feet of the <br />above described Sections. <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Section Three (3), <br />Township Twelve (12) North, Range Ten (10) West; Thence <br />southerly along Section line to the Southwest Corner of the <br />Northwest Quarter of Section Three (3), Township Twelve (12) <br />North, Range Ten (10) West, said right-of-way being 33 feet <br />each side of said Section line. <br /> <br />and submit, in writing, a report on the study made, including <br />
