<br />9 3 r-~'-=-n <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, MAY 25, 1993 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />~and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy,' Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, and Gary Quandt. Tammie Stelk arrived later. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to accept minutes of May 18th meeting <br />as received. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk <br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz was present. He reviewed the committee <br />report in regard to the joint budgets with City of Grand Island. He gave each <br />board member a copy of the report and stated members Quandt, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis and Janulewicz had met yesterday (Monday May 24th). <br /> <br />The, Joint Budget Committee recommends the Board approve a <br />proposal to be submitted to the City of Grand Island by the <br />County for 1993/94 budgets for Civil Defense/Communications, <br />Regional Planning, Health, and Ambulance. The proposal <br />approved by the Joint Budget Committee is as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the total tax revenues required to fund the <br />four agencies for 1993/94 be increased by 2% over <br />that amount required for 1992/93. <br /> <br />2. That the total tax revenues required to fund the <br />four agencies for 1994/95 be increased by 1% over <br />that amount required for 1993/94. <br /> <br />3. That the City adopt a driving under the influence <br />first offense ordinance and bear the costs of <br />prosecution, incarceration, and providing legal <br />defense to indigents charged with that offense. <br /> <br />4. That the County Board authorize Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerom Janulewicz to submit this proposal <br />to City ministr Zachary Zoul. <br /> <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Committee Member Richard <br /> <br /> <br />/l~~~hard <br /> <br />Frauen <br /> <br /> <br />Hartman <br /> <br /> <br />Landis <br /> <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis to accept the committee recommendation <br />as presented. Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Abernethy <br />and Leslie voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director presented quarterly report for the <br />Planning Commission. Stated 39 new subdivision so far this year. He reported <br />Bill Hayes, Doniphan is new representative on the Commission to replace Harold <br />Poppe. Discussed the Planning Commission 1993-1994 budget. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director gave written estimates on gravel and rock <br />for county roads. Estimate budget $64,615.69 short in gravel line item. <br />Determined was no need to tranfer funds to County Road budget at this time. <br />Hostler reported had received check for Flood control refund yesterday. <br />Estimated 'cash balance will be down around $64,000.00 <br />
