Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Hartman reported on Mid Nebraska meeting held last week. Need board members <br />input on the increase from 85 cents per capita to $1.00 per capita. Discussion <br />followed. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Leslie to authorize Hartman to vote up to <br />the $1.00 per capita for Mid Nebraska Retardation Services for 1993-1994 <br />budget. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted <br />yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Frauen attended the Ambulance committee meeting. <br /> <br />Abernethy attended the Bookmobile Committee meetings, Region III Advisory <br />Committee meeting. She attended DARE programs at Wood River, Alda, Centura <br />and Doniphan. She spoke at Barr Junior High on County Government and had <br />visited all seven of the Head Start Class Rooms. <br /> <br />Leslie attended the Mid Plains Center meeting last night. <br />Landis attended the Army Technical Revenue Committee meeting on water. <br /> <br />Stelk reported on the Senior Citizens Industries Meeting, Visitors Promotion <br />Committee meeting and attended the Bookmobile committee meetings. <br /> <br />-- - -- -- <br />Quandt attended the Bookmobile and 'lAmJ::n.llclnceCommi ttee meetings and also the <br />Senior Citizens Industries meeting and reported on the cab ticket sales. <br /> <br />Recessed for Board of Equalization meeting at 2:30 P.M. and returned to regular <br />session at 2:48 P.M. <br /> <br />Discussion on the bookmobile budget item. There were approximately 18 adults <br />and 30 students present. Teachers Mrs Mead and Mrs Gerdes and students from <br />School District 16. Students Mike Voss, Lindsay Dibbern, John Harders, Ryan <br />Voss and Steward Hostetler spoke. Also teacher Mrs. Mead. <br />Also speaking were Lynn Wild, Nebraska Veterans Home; Cathy Shaughnessy from <br />Riverside Lodge; Dorothy Schultz, parent District #16; Eileen Seastone, <br />Golden Age Village; Julene Kay, Lakeview Nursing Home; Vern Throop, Library <br />Board; Dorothy Bornes, Chrysalis Nursing Home; Helen Nimicek, St Francis <br />Skilled Care Center; and JanKarrer, Library Board member. <br />Comments were made by County Board Members and questions asked. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie; to fund $51,214.00 as requested <br />even tho 40% increase, for one year for the bookmobile, but in mean time,City <br />and County Bookmobile committees ~~et and work out some solutions. Abernethy, <br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, I Quandt; and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />Motion carried .--- <br /> <br />Larry Dix, NACO Computer representative and Doris Mason, Hall County Treasurer <br />were present and spoke in regard to update of computer system for treasurer's <br />office to replace the Burroughs system. System 36 is available from the Clerk <br />of District Court office and requested it be transferred to Treasurer's office <br />and software is available to work on the system. Costs $24,000.00 for the <br />first year, would update system, 5 terminals, 3 printers, 60 hours programming <br />time and a one time conversion cost. Additional training at $50.00 per hour. <br />Also discussed the LB841 on AS/400 systems for counties by January 1995. <br />also LB49l fees bill to increase fees for Motor vehicle department. <br />
