The Hall County Board of Corrections shall elect a chairman and <br />vice-chairman, shall adopt such rules and by-laws as it deems <br />advisable, ,and shall meet at least once every sixty days. A quorum <br />shall require the presence of at least two-thirds of its members <br /> <br />and all questions shall be decided by majority vote of the members <br />present. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, <br />Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Keno Committee to meet at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 1993 at County <br />Attorney's office. Criminal Justice Committee to meet at 10:30 a.m. <br />on Monday, April 12, 1993. <br /> <br />Discussion on how to proceed with the sale of Weed Building on Stolley Park <br />Road. Attorney Janulewicz stated all statutes have been met and they can <br />now proceed to negotiate for the sale. Ron VonBehren was present at meet- <br />ing today and had presented an offer of $43,000.00 for the property with a <br />deposit check of $1000.00 enclosed. Discussion followed. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to accept the offer from Ron VonBehren <br />for $43,000.00 for the property and authorize chairman to sign agreement. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted <br />no. Motion carried on six yes, 1 no vote. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Landis reported on Criminal Justice Committee meeting, they asked board <br />members to sign letter to be sent to jail employees to notify that a Board <br />of corrections would be responsible for operation of the jail and Joel B. <br />Dalton has been hired as Corrections Director. None of board members <br />objected to the letter being sent. <br /> <br />Leslie reported three county employees from Administration Building had <br />requested an investigation of work related problems involving indoor- <br />air quality. Therefore two people from the National Institute for Occupa- <br />tional Safety and Health's Hazard Evaluations and Technical Assistance branch <br />were conducting a 1 1/2 day investigation. Meeting today at 4:00 p.m. of the <br />Building & Grounds Committee to hear their findings. <br /> <br />Stelk reported she attended the Criminal Justice Committee meetings and also <br />Building & Grounds Committee meeting. <br />
