The Hall County Board of Corrections shall elect a chairman and vice-chairman, shall adopt such rules and by-laws as it deems advisable, ,and shall meet at least once every sixty days. A quorum shall require the presence of at least two-thirds of its members and all questions shall be decided by majority vote of the members present. The Hall County Board of Corrections shall ~upervise the Hall County Director of Corrections and shall hear arguments and make recommendations for the maintenance, supervision, control, and direction of the Hall County Jail and Correctional Facilities. Motion by Leslie, seconded by Landis to send letter of consent to the United Veterans Club, stating they must assume all responsibilit:Y~:. for any assessment associated with the connection. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Keno Committee to meet at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 1993 at County Attorney's office. Criminal Justice Committee to meet at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 1993. Discussion on how to proceed with the sale of Weed Building on Stolley Park Road. Attorney Janulewicz stated all statutes have been met and they can now proceed to negotiate for the sale. Ron VonBehren was present at meet- ing today and had presented an offer of $43,000.00 for the property with a deposit check of $1000.00 enclosed. Discussion followed. Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to accept the offer from Ron VonBehren for $43,000.00 for the property and authorize chairman to sign agreement. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, and Stelk voted yes, Quandt voted no. Motion carried on six yes, 1 no vote. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Landis reported on Criminal Justice Committee meeting, they asked board members to sign letter to be sent to jail employees to notify that a Board of corrections would be responsible for operation of the jail and Joel B. Dalton has been hired as Corrections Director. None of board members objected to the letter being sent. Leslie reported three county employees from Administration Building had requested an investigation of work related problems involving indoor- air quality. Therefore two people from the National Institute for Occupa- tional Safety and Health's Hazard Evaluations and Technical Assistance branch were conducting a 1 1/2 day investigation. Meeting today at 4:00 p.m. of the Building & Grounds Committee to hear their findings. Stelk reported she attended the Criminal Justice Committee meetings and also Building & Grounds Committee meeting.
