Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />If <br /> <br />, <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />#~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FORMING THE HALL COUNTY BOARD OF <br />CORRECTIONS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each county board in counties having a population of <br />less than one hundred fifty thousand inhabitants may choose to <br /> <br />serve as the county board of corrections and as such have charge of <br />the county jail and cor;ectional facilities and of all persons by <br />law confined in such jailor correctional facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hall is a county having less than one <br />hundred fifty thousand inhabitants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Board of Hall County finds that the <br /> <br />formation of itself as the Hall County Board of Corrections would <br />promote the proper administration of the Hall County Jail and <br />further benefit the public by releasing the County Sheriff from <br />such responsibility to pursue more fully the sh~riff' s primary <br /> <br />duties as a law enforcement officer. <br /> <br />NOW, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the Hall County Board of Supervisors does hereby elect, by <br /> <br />majority vote of its members, to serve as the Hall County Board of <br /> <br />Corrections. <br /> <br />2. The Hall County Board of Corrections shall assume charge of the <br />Hall County Jail and Correctional Facilities and of all persons by <br />law confined in the jail and correctional facilities on the 0</ <br />day of c<:~~ , 1993, at 12:01 A.M. <br />4. There is hereby established the Hall County Division of <br />Corrections under the jurisdiction of the Hall County Board of <br />Corrections. The administrative officer of the division shall be <br /> <br />the Hall County Director of Corrections, who will be qualified by <br />education, tr~ining and experience to perform the duties of such <br />position. <br /> <br />5. The Hall County Director of Corrections shall be appointed by <br />and shall serve at the will and "discretion of the Hall County Board <br />of Corrections. The Hall County Director of Corrections shall have <br /> <br />direct administrative responsibility for the facilities and <br /> <br />employees of the Hall County Division of Corrections and of the <br />persons lawfully confined in such facilities. <br />
