<br />93;::' /t1t <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, APRIL 6, 1993 <br /> <br />-:.1((' <br />~ The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Ga~y Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invoc~t~Qn was g'iveri--by Abernethy. <br /> <br />-- Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of March 30th meeting were approved as received, on motion by Frauen, <br />seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Supervisor Leslie requested an emergency executive sesssion be added to the <br />agenda in regard to personnel. <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Frauen to amend today's agenda to add an <br />executive session for personnel~ Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Mark Young spoke in regard to Region III EPC contract. <br />He recommended approval of contract as amended. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Abernethy to approve the amended EPC <br />contract to extend the 1991-1992 contract as recommended. Abernethy, Frauen, <br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Landis to recess for Executive Session for <br />personnel reasons. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Executive Session at 9:25a.m. and returned to regular session at 9:29 a.m. <br />on motion by Frauen, seconded by Hartman. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, <br />Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Dan Hostler, Public Works Director gave an update report on county road <br />conditions. Have 2 mile of county road closed. He also requested a Public <br />Works Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion on bookmobile. No action was taken today but the Bookmobile <br />committee to check out some suggestions and have report at April 27th meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Hartman to recess for Board of Equalization <br />meeting at 9:48 AM. and returned to regular session at 9;50 A.M. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> <br />1. Hall County Treasurer's report on the PUblic Tax Sale held March 1, 1993 <br />thru March 31, 1993. Report was filed in Hall County Clerk's office on <br />April 2, 1993. No public tax sales sold. <br /> <br />2. Letter from Central Platte Natural Resources District in regard to cospon- <br />sored projects, project summaries and project cost estimates for next two <br />years. <br /> <br />3. Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce information letter the Central Nebraska <br />Legislative 0dinner is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 1993 at the <br />Nebraska Club (Firstier Bank) Lincoln starting at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />4. State of Nebraska Department of Administrative Services in regard to Fuel <br />Flexible 85/15 motor vehicles. <br /> <br />5. Copy of memo fro~ City of , Grand I~land Mayor in regard to agency for toxic <br />S';lbstances a;:rr.cf l1a:seas,e Reg~ster w~ll hold public meeting at Westridge <br />M~ddle School on Apr~l 13, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. to provide information and <br />answer questions regarding their study of RDX contamination from Cornhusker <br />Ordnance Plant. <br /> <br />6. Copy of letter from State of Nebraska Department of Roads to Senior Citizens <br />Industries' in regard to Hall County Handibus appl~<<ation for Public Trans- <br />portation Assistance. <br /> <br />7. Copy of letters in regard to final plats to be considered at Regional Plan- <br />ning Commission meeting April 7, 1993 in City Council Chambers. Final Plats <br />are for Plejdrup Subdivision, Woit Bros Subdivision and T & P Subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to place on file the communications that <br />were received today. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />
