<br />- <br /> <br />9'3~ - ~I <br /> <br />!\ <br />i <br /> <br />1;0- <br /> <br />i> <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, FEBRUARY 23; 1993; <br /> <br />1 The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned session <br />~ and by published call with Chairman Gary Quandt presiding. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard Hartman, <br />. Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Abernethy. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance was given. <br /> <br />Minutes of February 16th meeting were accepted as received, on motion by <br />Frauen, seconded by Stelk. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerome Janulewicz was present. He presented informa~ <br />tion in regard to tax foreclosure sales March 3 on Lot 1 and Lot 7 Homestead <br />2nd Subdivision and on March 5, on lots 1,2, 4 & 4 Blk 3 Second Addition to <br />Village of Cairo and if County Board members wished to place bids on these <br />properties. Chairman will appoint a committee to look at these'properties <br />and make recommendation. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney Janulewicz requested Board Members to rescind Resolution- <br />#1460' to transfer funds for Head Start Fund, since all funds were on deposit <br />in County Treasurer's office before the Resolution was completed. <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Leslie to rescind Resolution #1460 adopted <br />at last week's meeting. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Discussion on the adoption of Transition Plan for Americans with Disabilities <br />Act and the need to make formal adoption on the plan presented at Public <br />Hearing last week. <br />Motion by Landis, seconded by Frauen to accept and adopt the Americans <br />with Disabilities Act plan as specified at the Public Hearing last week. <br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt, and Stelk voted yes, none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Chairman Quandt stated the County Retirement Plan was questioned at County <br />-Board Workshop last week, was suggested -County Attorney request an Attorney <br />General opinion on the Retirement Plan. Deputy Attorney Janulewicz requested <br />the specific questions tbsend to Attorney General to be answered. <br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Leslie to request Attorney General <br />opinion on County Retirement Plan. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, Landis voted no. Motion carried. <br />Chairman Quandt was to get specific questions to Attorney's office. <br /> <br />Dan,Hostler, Public Works Director reported on State bids let last Thursday <br />on asphalt project 5 miles east of Shelton, awarded to Werner Construction <br />$579,667.44 <br /> <br />Hostler presented a copy of NACo Alert for board members to review on the <br />report of President Clinton $30 billion economic stimulus proposal. <br /> <br />Earl Wilson, spoke in regard to call he made in regard to all interstate <br />exits to be 4 lane. Stated this is not a state law and is not requirement. <br /> <br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to accept County Treasurer's Miscell- <br />aneous rece~pts as presented. Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Qu~ndt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no.
