<br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

<br />JANUARY 5, 1993
<br />
<br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 A.M. from adjourned
<br />session and by published call with Chairperson Margaret Landis presiding.
<br />
<br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Frauen, Richard
<br />Hartman, Margaret Landis, Robert Leslie, Gary Quandt and Bill Wright.
<br />None were absent.
<br />
<br />Invocation was given by Abernethy.
<br />
<br />Pledge of Allegiance was given.
<br />
<br />Minutes of December 22nd were approved as received by a motion of
<br />Quandt, seconded by Abernethy. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz talked to the board concerning
<br />the condition use permit applied for by the Aurora Co-op.
<br />
<br />Motion made by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to authorize the Chairman
<br />to sign the engineering agreement with Benjamin & Associate for
<br />bridge sites C 40(186), C 40(246) and C 40(248). On roll call vote
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie; Quandt and Wright voted
<br />yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Frauen made motion to appoint Daniel Hostler as the Director of
<br />Public Works for 1993, Hartman seconded the motion. On roll call
<br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright
<br />voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Motion made by Frauen, seconded by Wright to appoint Robert Schwartzkopf
<br />as Weed Control Superintendent for 1993. On roll call Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Frauen made motion to declare the old telephone system that was used in
<br />the Administration Building both upstairs and downstairs as surplus
<br />property of the county and to sell each one at a price of $300.00.
<br />This motion was seconded by Wright. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie and Wright voted yes, Quandt voted no.
<br />
<br />The following banks were designated as depositories for county business
<br />in 1993, by a motion of Hartman, seconded by Abernethy. On roll call
<br />Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes,.
<br />none voted no.

<br />~rauen made motion, seconded by Hartman to accept and place on file
<br />official bonds of Robert Schwartzkopf and Gerard Piccolo. On roll call
<br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright
<br />voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />County Assessor, Jan Pelland presented tax correction notices and
<br />recornrneded the corrections of #'s 3326 thru 3421 which covered thru
<br />the end of the year. Quandt made motion, seconded by Abernethy to
<br />accept and authorize the chairman to sign these notices. On roll call
<br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright
<br />voted yes, none voted no.
<br />
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Hartman to refer the letter from Billie
<br />Klimek, Klimek Harvesting &' Trucking, Grand Island concerning property
<br />tax assessment to the County Attorney. On roll vote Abernethy, Frauen,
<br />Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Wright voted yes, none voted no.
