Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. )21J 4-TlC / ~q Hostler reported the~'~-uu_-- ~ ball light at Bismark and Shady Bend needs to have galvanized poles. The city has agreed to allow the electrical lines to be placed on their poles. The county will need a eledtrician and materials and pay for the electricity. Abernethy made motion, seconded by Quandt to accept the miscellaneous re~eipts from the County Treasurer. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. County Assessor, Jan Pelland, submitted Tax Correction Notices #731 - 813. Quandt made motion, seconded by Abernethy to authorize the Chairman to sign the notices. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Aberenthy made motion, seconded by Stelk to approve the modification of license agreement with Family Violence Coalition. After discussion, motion and seconded was withdrawn so that a termination date of July 1, 1995 could be added. Ellen Merrill, Board Assistant, asked if they were interested in CPR training? It will be available for county employees ~ Thursday in January from 6 - 10 P.M. ~ Merrill asked if the letter written to the City conerning interest in the old City Hall building and to decline the offer to use the room and equipment of the city to televise the Board of Supervisors meetings. Merrill reported that the Platt-Duetsche was no longer interested in having keno games. Quandt report that the news indicated that Frito/Lay was looking for a location for a plant. He wanted a letter written to the company stating of interest in having them come to Grand Island. Landis expressed the concern of doing this and asked that the Industrial Foundation be contacted concerning this matter. Discussion concerning the Health Director's position and the applicants for the job. Some of the board memebers wanted to look at. the applications. Ed Edwards was contacted to see how many applications had be submitted and perhaps a committe should look at all the applications and be involved in the ones interviewed. Landis made motion, seconded by Quandt to authorize the Chairman to sign the letter from McDermott & Miller explaining their understanding of the arrangements for the services to be performed for the Hall County Clerk of the District Court for the perior July 1, 1994 to December 31, 1994.
