Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br />)21J 4-TlC / ~q <br />Hostler reported the~'~-uu_-- ~ ball light at Bismark and Shady Bend <br />needs to have galvanized poles. The city has agreed to allow the <br />electrical lines to be placed on their poles. The county will need <br />a eledtrician and materials and pay for the electricity. <br /> <br />Abernethy made motion, seconded by Quandt to accept the miscellaneous <br />re~eipts from the County Treasurer. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, <br />Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />County Assessor, Jan Pelland, submitted Tax Correction Notices #731 - <br />813. Quandt made motion, seconded by Abernethy to authorize the Chairman <br />to sign the notices. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and <br />Stelk voted yes, none voted no. <br /> <br />Aberenthy made motion, seconded by Stelk to approve the modification of <br />license agreement with Family Violence Coalition. After discussion, <br />motion and seconded was withdrawn so that a termination date of July 1, <br />1995 could be added. <br /> <br />Ellen Merrill, Board Assistant, asked if they were interested in CPR <br />training? It will be available for county employees ~ Thursday in <br />January from 6 - 10 P.M. ~ <br />Merrill asked if the letter written to the City conerning interest in <br />the old City Hall building and to decline the offer to use the room <br />and equipment of the city to televise the Board of Supervisors meetings. <br />Merrill reported that the Platt-Duetsche was no longer interested in <br />having keno games. <br /> <br />Quandt report that the news indicated that Frito/Lay was looking for <br />a location for a plant. He wanted a letter written to the company stating <br /> <br />of interest in having them come to Grand Island. Landis expressed <br />the concern of doing this and asked that the Industrial Foundation <br />be contacted concerning this matter. <br /> <br />Discussion concerning the Health Director's position and the applicants <br />for the job. Some of the board memebers wanted to look at. the applications. <br />Ed Edwards was contacted to see how many applications had be submitted and <br />perhaps a committe should look at all the applications and be involved in <br />the ones interviewed. <br /> <br />Landis made motion, seconded by Quandt to authorize the Chairman to sign <br />the letter from McDermott & Miller explaining their understanding of the <br />arrangements for the services to be performed for the Hall County <br />Clerk of the District Court for the perior July 1, 1994 to December 31, <br />1994. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Leslie, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. <br /> <br />BOARD REPORTS <br /> <br />LESLIE - stuhr Museum meeting - grant to restore & operate train. <br /> <br />LANDIS - Reuse meeting January 11th and 22nd. <br /> <br />Chairman adjourned meeting at 2:47 P.M.
